Lots of Tuscans for sale have less then 20,000 miles on the clock. Some of these cars are now 8 years old, thats approx 2500 miles a year.

Anyone got a high mileage Tuscan?

If so how many miles have you done between rebuilds?

Mine is on about 50,000 miles. Rebuild in Dec 2005 by previous owner (can't remember the mileage at that point).

Brilliant! Is that a Tuscan 1 or a Tuscan 2?

46500 miles here, top end rebuild at 26k. Made 350 bhp and 290 lbft at SRR recently, and uses very very little oil.

A shade under 50K with no rebuilds from my 51 (Jan 02) Tuscan. It was on about 22K when I bought it just under 3 years ago so around 9K per year for me!!

Hi all,
Mine is on 50,800. Rebuild at 23,000 (2004) by TVR Factory.

Used as my daily drive ... TVR's like to be used daily!

its not a tuscan, its a cerb speed six, one of the first 20 i have been told, its currently on 30k, had three engine rebuilds on original engine.
They obviously gave up trying to correct that one and installed a new engine 6k miles ago LMAO, luckily i have the benefit of all the work done and not had to shell out on it.

I did about 70k in mine over 7 years (following 60k in my Griff). The Tuscan (a Red Rose) had two full engine rebuilds at around 11k and 33k. I also seem to recall it went back to Blackpool sometime between for 3 weeks or so for a "top end rebuild" which I suspect was no more than reshimming the valves as one shim had punched through.

I had just fitted its 5th clutch when I got rid (at c£1,000 a pop - ouch!)

And mine is still going strong.
Feeles realy tight with new shocks, geometry etc.
A great car that deserves looking after for all the fun it gives in return.

65000 miles a few niggles, but nothing that has left me stuck or cost over £100 to fix.
