Surely the definitive Tuscan plate would be T115 CAN...... fair point but, in the DVLAs infinite wisdom they allocated it on a random basis (probably on a Mondeo somewhere) i.e they didn't consider it to be a 'cherished' number. anyway my plates now next to f@cking useless since the filth decided it was the "crime of the century" for me to put a bolt between the ones (to make it look like a U - see the picture in my profile) - b@stards:MAD:!!!!!!!!

Dunno .... I asked about T115CAN back in August and was told "not yet issued" and "we'll put it up for auction and let you know when". No news since, but I think it's out and about on a Tuscan somewhere.

sometime ago an on-line insurance company URL was posted on here that allowed you to type in a reg plate and it matched it up with the vehicle it was currently registered with. Anyone remember the site????? You can then see if T115 CAN was actually on a vehicle or not.

I though of getting that plate T115 CAN, while driving back from the NEC in 98 after placing my order. The DVLA were a complete bunch of tossers when it came to finding out whether it would be available and assured me I along with another interested party would be kept informed. I heard that it turned up a Ford Dealership on standard release - where is it now ???

have you tried the dvla website? Havent got the link here its at work, will post on monday if helpful. Went to test drive a Tuscan today, loved it except for those offset pedals. Do you get used to them? Talking numberplates, was blasting back to london from Cranleigh when an Aston Martin Vantage passed me as if I was standing still. The plate: A5 TON

PS. Was driving back full of happy Tuscan thoughts, passed Mole Valley, tell me, which poor bugger had the Tuscan X5 TVR being lowered off the back of an AA truck?

Yes it was Tescos (http://www.tesco.com/finance/home.htm). I tried T115CAN but it didn't seem to know what car this was registered to, I then tried T11SCN (my Tuscan plate) and again it didn't find it, I then tried the wifes Ferrari 360 didn't find it, tried my Aston Vantage, Bentley and Ducati, no joy, finally tried the secretaries Mondano and it worked - harrah So what does this tell us about the whereabouts of T115CAN? I suspect nothing as this system doesn't seem to recognise any small manufacturers. Mike.

Interesting thread, if only to illustrate that PH hasn’t gone down the pan lately in terms of poster civility.

Brother Spunky shows that nothing is new under the sun.
