Why you might ask? Well I bought and ran a Rover 100 Ascot SE 1.5D for several years as a spare car and a runaround. It was bought for very little money with excellent bodywork and only 39000 miles. It was a great wee car and did a constant 60+ mpg. However a change of job and less need to have a second car taxed insured etc meant I reversed Percy (my nickname for it) into the back of a shed and disconnected the battery. Fast forward five years and I decided with a bit more time on my hands that I would like to put the car back on the road. Bodywork still rust free and now with 51000 miles it still starts easily. However one of the hydragas units has failed on the front and the car has lay down. New ones would need to be bought in pairs so does anyone know a breaker or parts specialist who would have a unit at a reasonable price that I could buy? Will an MGF unit fit or are they different? All advice gratefully respected.

Probably worth seeing whether a re-gas will fix it - this is probably a good place to start.
