As a regular on the 944 forum I have sold my Porsche and will now be joining the Rover brigade. I am picking up a mint 1998 620Ti on Thursday. After any advise on subtle modifications both to handling and mechanical. I will post photos soon.

Go to www.rovertech.net for more information, but I think that (if they are 4 stud) all alloys from any other Rover or MG will fit it, and enough aftermarket ones are available as well as lowering springs/uprated dampers from most major companies. I think that it's fairly easy and safe to turn up the boost a bit on the 620ti as well.

I was also thinking about getting a 620ti this summer maybe, as they're pretty cheap to buy now and insurance is rediculously cheap for what the car is!

A good upgrade to the Ti alloys is the 800 Vitesse Sport rims. Pretty much same style as the Ti but in 17" form, look great

Manual boost controller will give you a lot more in-gear beans as the standard setup is modulated according to revs. Overriding this with a controller means you get full boost and torque as soon as the turbo is spinning fast enough and for £50 or so you get a lot more bang for not much buck. Best bet is the GBE Evo valve - www.gb-ent.com. n.b. this ISN'T a bleed valve.

Good luck, let us know how it goes

p.s. I'm not anything to do with the above company, just a customer!
