Well didnt know that, but when you go from 70 to 50, does it happen then as well?. Wouldnt bunching be more to do with lack of basic observation and antipation by drivers.
The bunching seems to be down to everyone travelling at approximately the same speed and the resulting prolongation of overtakes.

The effect is very striking when heading for Arnhem on the A3 which is fast, free flowing and unlimited right up to the NL border where it gets all bunched and brakelighty...

Every time i am on the motorway the majority of fast lane users at doing 80mph anyway so what's the big deal?? Clearly the Brake organization are full of sandle and sock wearing numpties who should stick to tree hugging and whinging about global warming.

Precisely...yes Raising the limit to 80mph aligns with real traffic speeds with indications suggesting a tiny reduction in accidents. Regardless BRAKE consider these plans to be "INHUMANE"...silly

Always worth reminding people that BRAKE list a large number of corporate sponsors on their website.

Vote with your feet by boycotting these supporters, and email them to tell them you are doing so.

Ashamed to say that I used to work for one of their sponsors.

In my defense I didn't know until now.
