Why are black cabs exempt .. or are they all stinky diesels that do not comply.
Absolute disgrace and hypocrisy.
Even greater hypocrisy is BAA's own fleet of ~10 year old buses that constantly travel the perimeter roads between staff car parks, all the while belching out visible, noxious emissions.

Well over 15 years old now.....the fleet were all new-ish back when I worked there on T5 project in 2003!!

The aren't BAA owned though (and BAA doesn't exist anymore) they are all owned by Menzies Aviation, and it is somewhat surprising that HAL haven't forced Menzies to update the fleet to newer hybrid type by now.

Slight tangent.
I need a trickle charger for my 2016 C63 as I'm working away 5 wks at a time and I keep getting battery low warnings on the Mercedes Me app.
I can get one from Mercedes fir 180quid but just wondered if anyone knows of a suitable compliant alternative supplier..
Thanks
Tony

Halfords car and bike trickle charger, £25 for mine, keeps batteries up to 70 amps fully charged, works well on my SL.

Heathrow ULEZ is a rip off, just to please those who hate thread drift smile

A money making scheme pure and simple or am I missing something here?!
It's a requirement for them to reduce local air pollution in order to get permission for a third runway.
Correct. Nothing to do with money making.
Incorrect its got everything to do with moneymaking.... or is the third runway a charity ? The airport is everything about making money....

Heathrow is soon becoming the place not to fly from.
IF this happens I will not be flying from there again.

Yes, but the ULEZ specifically is not about making money for the airport, its naff all when compared to its primary revenue streams.
Its all about appeasement of the sitting-on-the-fence polititcians and the enviromentalists to gain approval for expansion.

Hopefully the ‘hub and spoke’ model will be a thing of the past soon and there’ll be no need to go near the vile place.

Hi Tony, I'm OP and happy to respond...

All my cars have a seperate battery conditioner, purchased over time from various suppliers (CTek,Lidl, etc.). The Lidl one's only available at times but at £13-odd, and a German design, functions exactly as all that the others do.

Bottom line, foget main dealer/manufacturer prices. I wouldn't pay more than, say, £60 for a top model.

Ferrari wanted £190 for theirs (look inside and its a £90 Ctek!) - buggers
