[quote=GraemeP]I wish they would hurry up and start selling right hand drive versions in decent volumes so I can afford a second hand one in a few years!!

Graeme...problem is the residual is so good they dont seem to depreciate if you look at second hand values and people tend to hold onto them unless they buy another

In the UK the existing V8 GT cars are likely to be traded for the new V10..the used V8s will still fetch £80k- £90k used...thats your problem

Nice problem for the customer, but also keeps the car exclusive

As there is a UK dealer and RHD cars are currently being ordered you will see more cars

I put it here for now, Wiesmann update.

Meanwhile in Germany updated news by Wiesmann, which seems to be in 'British' hands, so its a bit British as well.

story said:

with google translate English it says:

Dülmen. The still strictly secret kept new Wiesmann Roadster from Dülmener production should go into production in mid-2020. "I can promise you, it will be a really cool car again - and with 625 hp stronger than all the models that have been on the market so far," promised Wiesmann employee Markus Stevermüer the visitors of a jazz concert in the Gecko production hall, in which the new luxury sports car is to be produced.

As previously reported, the new Roadster is powered by a V8 engine from BMW, the cooperation has been confirmed from Munich. The British owners have apparently opted for a secret strategy, which does not specify details of the project prior to the presentation. So the Wiesmann homepage has not been available for months. Even an announced press office has not yet begun work.

Keeps his plans secret: Wiesmann-owner Roheen Berry.

so, 625hp in a 'lightweight' Wiesmann car (ala MF3 cabrio and MF4 GT and cabrio and MF5 GT and cabrio), sounds good :-) and 2020 so next year...they beat TVR after closing factory and going over into new hands.

I saw one of these taking part in a car rally whilst awaiting the ferry at Calais. Immediately it looks very TVR (Peter Wheeler designs). I took several photo's and had to ask what it was on a Facebook thread.

I was ready to buy one and then found out about the company folding. I now read it looks like its on again. What a design, the back of the car does it for me, just like the TVR Chimaera.
