Nice to see someone using the proper size wheel. The best handling upgrade I ever made on mine wasnt the Nitrons or replacibg all the suspension bushes or having it corner weighted! It was changing from 18" spiders to 16" oz saturns, that completely transformed the behaviour when the car is nearing the limit. Enjoy your "sticky" tyres in good health!

What was thetyre profile?
18" tyres tend to have 35 profile, which I thought on the cerbera I drove with 18" wheels weren't as forgiving as the 40 profile on 17's

Hi,

My Cerbera 4.5 has been rested for just over 18 months now, BUT it is time to bring her back to life, been prepping engine bay area,
we have done assurance stuff whilst induction is off so compression test, Schims checked, new plugs, new rad etc...aim to get her back running over the weekend, then MOT'd.
Going to take my 430BV off the road having done runs to Cornwall, Le Mans and Le Touquet amongst other stuff over the past 18 months 103K miles now.....still sweet as but the Cerb needs using...been putting her through a "Laid Up" process throughout time off road so seals and electrics have been used .....just be nice to get that certain road presence back once more....:-)

Lets see how it all goes.....

Then there is Cerbfest biggrin

Got the drivers side door cards off and cleaned and greased the block connectors due to a faulty inner door switch. I think I need to replace the switch as the led light has gone, so I'll have to repeat again! Also added a one way valve to the washer fluid pipe, and treated the inside to some leather cleaner. It had got very dusty inside at Le Mans.

Disconnected the 3rd brake light in back at the bottom of the window.
Trial tested 2 x 20 cm red led strips stuck to the rear facing part of the roof lining instead. Certainly looks different and should be much more noticeable which is the idea of the 3rd brake light.
Will post pics if anybody interested.

Replaced my faulty electric PAS Pump for a brand new secondhand one from eBay.

£38 for the pump and 60p for the washers to seal the output Union.

Hi Martin,

How did it fail? My originally supplied one was fried so I got a 2nd £60 with warranty. Not sure of fitting differences with the S6 but mine is located centrally near the Rad

It was sized and as a result blowing fuses.

Mine is mounted in the same location as yours.

All ready now for a charity track day on Friday.

Here is a photo of my led lights across the rear roof shelf. Excuse the poor iPad photo but you get the gyst of it. Just stuck them on with normal double sided at the mo to see what they are like and I will need to run a thin plastic 'shelf' underneath to stop the light glare into the rear shelf area.
I legally need a 3rd light so what do the peeps think?

Today, not much other than pack her and fill with petrol.

Tomorrow she gets driven how she was built to be driven at a charity track day at Castle Coombe.

Can't wait!

I think the cerb could do with a third brake light given how low down the lights are.

I switched to LED light bulbs in the rear to make the lights brighter. The smoked glass takes a fair bit of intensity away.

Picked it up from the respray, drove it 15 mins to Neil Garners as the starter motor is just spinning. We had to bump it.

Fitted some pure amber CREE leds in place of the standard indicator lamps, knowing the flash rate would be wrong I also bought a led compatible adjustable relay.

Heads up for anyone, the +ve and -ve terminals are the wrong way round with all of the aftermarket relays I could find.

Pin 31 on the original is ground or -ve

Pin 49 on the original is +ve

EDITED TO ADD - MY CAR IS A 1998 CERBERA - YOUR WIRING MAY BE DIFFERENT - ????

Hi, so what's the solution to the problem and would you be able to point me to where I can get one of these relays?
Thanks Rafal

Surely, if you reverse the wires on the cree bulb you can use the original relays?
