CheersNitrons, eibach springs, ACT tuned length exhaust manifolds and full act quiet exhaust system. Tuned by Joolz for driveability, gives just over 380bhp.
Then it's had a full body off chassis restoration finished 4 years ago, with all new fuel lines, brake lines, bushes, bearings, nuts and bolts etc. Basically if it could be changed it was, whilst it was all apart.
Then it had a new uprated clutch in 2015, new immobiliser and the aircon finally fixed last year and this year, uprated wiper motor, sorted interior and respray.
Honestly I think it's the best original looking early 4.2 for both looks and performance. Quite pleased with my efforts (and chequebook).

Drove to The Ring, and nothing went wrong.
Very pleased that I chose to get the front discs skimmed on Monday. They really suffered from corrosion when the car sat broken, with imprints of the pads left on the discs. I thought they'd clean up after a few hundred miles, but there was still a lot of judder, so I had to do something.
They are no doubt under spec now at 27.3mm, but that will have to do for this trip. The Ring isn't exceptionally hard on brakes, so should be fine; had this been a trip to Spa then it would probably be less acceptable.

I gave him a PAX lap after which he said he was now even more excited to get hold of his Cerb - very pleased indeed.
I only had to fix two things today:
The newly fitted throttle cable popped out of the cam mid circuit, seems it had stretched a little since Tuesday. Managed to pull off and fix it temporarily rather than have to get recovered. Got it sorted properly once I was reunited with my tools.
One of the rubber exhaust hangers failed, fortunately the place where I'm staying has a lift which made the job a doddle.
All in all a very good day.

Going to take my 430BV off the road having done runs to Cornwall, Le Mans and Le Touquet amongst other stuff over the past 18 months 103K miles now.....still sweet as but the Cerb needs using...been putting her through a "Laid Up" process throughout time off road so seals and electrics have been used .....just be nice to get that certain road presence back once more....:-)👍

king brilliant"The weekend saw about 400miles of driving and running in the newly built 4.5ss and all I can say was the car behaved awesomely. No problems what so ever. Even in complete standstill in the baking sun near Stonehenge. Temps never went higher than 98 (95 according to what the ecu was reading).

There is an anti squeal plate you can get that fits on top of the rear brake pads and into the caliper that might help.
Cheers Nat ben, took wheels off today (for the second time wheesh), the plates were there so wiped off what was left of the coppaslipgrot, slathered on some new and would you Adam and Eve it success! It was even free!

I think it should be ok - I got my manifolds and decats Zircotec coated so I should be ok.OK, this is weird.
Two weekends ago I was working on the car in the garage having just got it back from paint (new number plates, so fitting the reversing camera back in etc) and I found 10mm wood screws around the garage entrance. Didn't think anything about it, only strange as I know I don't have any of that size...
I had a small water drip last week. Turned out to be the plastic Y pipe on the bulkhead so a new one ordered and fitted this weekend plus a couple of other tarting up bits
Again found two identical woodscrews at the back of the car, only this time with two chips out the paintwork by the rear numberplate, down to the silver first coat.
So someone is shooting woodscrews at my car in the garage. We had it 5 years ago with a neighbours kid shooting glass beeds from a catapult, but the only possibly place is the new neighbours (with kids) with their garden backing onto the driveway.
Time for some cctv I think
