I have just insured my car with Henderson Taylor, but for the agreed value they need a valuation report as well as photos.

Any suggestions where I could get the valuation from, and the approximate cost?

Yes - TVR Owners Club was one of the insurers suggested sources - but considering the fiasco last year that is not my first choice.

Bespoke are part of the TVR network, so you could ask one of the network members close to you to give you an evaluation, and see if your insurance company is satisfied with this?

I had my valuation done by Str8six.

Thanks, that list includes APM who knows me and my car. It is a bit of a trek but probably worth doing.

Pop to Fernhurst while you're in the area, did mine after the rebuild, didn't charge me so long as I agreed to give Simon first refusal if I ever thought of selling, and never a bad idea to get more than one number.

Yeah, mine after full body off chassis refurb and new everything including clutch was worth half what an equivilant Griff was. I couldn't get a valuation near to what I wanted from the club so didn't go with the usual specialists

Avoid the Car Club at all costs, seems strange a car club can know so little about the cars which are supposed to be part of it.

Str8six did one for my Chimaera.

The tvrcc are actually excellent. Don't mistake an article in sprint for a formal valuation. I just received the agreed valuation for my griff from the tvrcc. Mervyn Larner is very helpful and knowledgable and gave in my opinion an excellent and very fair valuation. Classicline have accepted it and it was all sorted out in a week with no charge because I am a tvrcc member.

I didn't. I called the club at that time and was on discussion was given a low range that they would value my car which didn't match my thoughts nor the market prices a the time

You have a Griff though.. One of the models they didn't seem to have issues valuing appropriately.

I'll give the TVRCC valuation service a try. I'm interested to see what they value mine at as the prices seem to vary massively. Mines a 2004 4.2 with 50K on it. Apparently 1 of only 2 2004 models registered in the road in the UK.
