Nearly ready to body and chassis to be reunited.

Just want to check the pipe route looks about right.

Have spent ages searching tinternet for definitive answer but failed and my dead old phone with my comprehensive taking apart notes is no more.

Copper is brake pipe on outside of chassis, fuel return is the pipe is brown heat shielding that goes inside chassis tunnel

I thought the fuel pipes were embedded in the tub, or is this another TVR thing that is different on every car.

This is an early one - 97 car. Definitely cable tied to chassis rails, I just can’t recall the exact route.

Just finished a 4 year restoration myself (on a '97 4.2). Got pics of the routing. Send me an email and I'll reply with pics attached.

Thanks Gordon, but it says you don’t accept emails.

My email address is mattrosersv at yahoo.co.uk

If you get the chance to send pics would be great. Already have done kindly provided by RoseyTVR but can’t quite make out routes.

Cheers!

Hi Matt - just resurrecting this thread as I am in a similar situation regarding the route of the fuel pipes - I bought the car in bits so I am starting afresh. I realise that this is some time ago now, but do you still have the photos which Gordon sent you? If so, I'd really appreciate copies if it's not too much trouble please? Thank you. Nicky

I think I do have photos but they are on an old drive from a now knackered Mac. I’ll see if I can grab them off on Friday.

My dads got car at the mo but can get it on the ramp next week and video the routing mine now take..

Have a few more that I can post of different angles

Turn that top damper bolt round now whilst you have the chance, you might not get it out with the body on that way.

Hi Matt - please don't go to the trouble of searching and videoing (but I appreciate you offering to do that!) because the pictures you have posted are a huge help - thank you!! I wasn't sure if resurrecting such an old thread would work, but it did!! clap

Hello stranger! Just taking note of your comment to Matt - to check mine - can I just clarify - you mean have the bolt going through the other direction?

Hello Stranger (x2)

When the bodywork is in place, forward extraction of the bolt is blocked....
