Your right I suspect that I have incopatable bits. i also suspect that its either the release bearing or the slave that is the culprit. But I can't be for sure. Hence the question!

From my measurements the release bearing is putting pressure on the fingers even when pushed fully back. So I have an interference fit if you like!

It could also be the flywheel design as the thickness especially where the crank mount and that would be enough to screw things up. I'm down at Tower View doing some more work on the LS1 transplant and I have a selection of old and new clutchs etc so I'll do some measuring.

Does anyone know the difference? I have a slave that doesn’t seem to reach the fingers.....
