Well, she has been sold to another Perth dweller.
As the title suggests, thanks to all those extremely helpful folks who guided me over the last few years.
This is the most informative forum I have been involved in and I wish every Cerb owner the best!
Cheers!

And I'm the new owner! I'm pretty stoked to be the next custodian of this fine vehicle. Been lurking on these forums trying to soak up all the info I can.

So far all i've done is engine oil and filter, new PRV spring and re aligned the RH window. I've also renewed the nutserts holding the underbonnet panels in place.

Over the next few months the plan is:

2 post hoist!
Remove big center muffler and install vac tubes and catch can
Sort the aircon
Compression test and borescope. Motor runs great, starts easy, no smoke, but the odometer is stuck on 100,000 though, so I'm guessing it is "well run in".
New carpet

Longer term I'd like to freshen the motor, they don't seem that hard or expensive to do, although they have their own quirks, like the lack of a "dot to dot" setup with the cams. Like most motors, they aren't that hard to renew a worn out one. Once something lets go it gets expensive fast.

Electric power steering and water pump? Still thinking about that.

I'd also like to respray it in either its original silver, or white. Although it does look pretty good in "bling red"

I always thought it was really brave taking a Cerb to Oz

The lack of access to other Cerb owners was always going to be a worry, and lack of access to a Cerb specialist could make life really tricky

Also, the delay receiving imported parts, and perhaps the cost would be a concern (is duty an issue for parts or only for cars?)

However, glad to see that you are going to give it your best - good luck!

Hi Simon,

As stated elsewhere, I thought that I was mad running a Cerb out here in darkest Europe

BUT

Running one in Oz is absolutely insane nuts
(So I think you'll get along fine thumbup )

So,

"Welcome to The Madhouse !"

The Odometers always stick as they go over the '0'.

Yeah it's a little bit daunting, but I build/work on all my own stuff anyway so as long as I can get some of the more specialised info I should be fine.

I have the underbonnet "covers" off at the moment just checking things over and making myself more familiar with it all. Wow was I scratching my head wondering why the fuel injectors are air conditioned!

Another thing I will be doing at some point is fitting an aftermarket ecu. The whole caper with the throttle pots seems rather archaic to put it mildly, and tuneability of a modern aftermarket ecu is something I have become accustomed to. But, as I said, it starts and runs great at the moment.
