3/4" AF is 19.05mm. It's one of the few sizes that an imperial or metric socket will fit. smile

Another one is 1 1/16" = 26.99mm.

I've doing a bit of this conversion recently to get a socket to fit the pinion nut on my Triumph Toledo. I have had to order a 1 1/8" AF socket. I have slightly too small and slightly too big in my toolbox, of course I have ....... frown
I have a work colleague was given an old lathe he wanted to refurbish, but none of his sockets/spanners fitted and he said they were a weird size, possible worn? Out came the old case of my dads whitworth spanners...

Still using my Zeus book 20 years after I started my apprenticeship, easier to use when your hands are covered in grease then trying to unlock your phone.

Just need to acquire an electron microscope to read the damn thing laugh
Blimey that's a flashback. We had a copy each of Zeus in our top overall pocket during my apprenticeship in 1983! Now, you download it as a pdf and print off your own..... frown
Emmmmm, any chance of a ref: for the pdf version.

I have the doc version BUT I can't read it laugh
