Anyone tried a valuation recently ?

I tried years ago, and mine always used to be £50 smile

However, I'm up to £13,800 ,now. I suspect that if they were to see the state of it, I'd probably be back down to the £50 biggrin

It's all algorithm based obviously, and a few years ago they got caught out on a Cerbera Speed Six with very low mileage, offering to buy it for £27k. At the time it was worth about £18k, so of course the owner sold it to them and enjoyed a surprise extra £9k.

It hung around auctions for quite a long time because obviously they couldn't sell it for anywhere near the price paid.

Shortly after this coincidentally WBAC offers for our cars plummeted again.

I checked about a year ago and was offered £150 so they are obviously trying to recover that, and some!

Just checked and the site doesn't recognize wedges. Put number plate and it removes the last letter then asks for manual completion and no option for the Tasmin series biggrin

Just did this on my 53 plate V8 Cerb, and it’s gone up £5k in the three months since I last did it…

Blimey. Do you value it at that, or higher/lower ?

Mine's £14,500 today smile

I’ve watched the Cerbera market, pretty much weekly, for many years, but I’m certainly no expert.
What I have observed is that whilst Cerb’s have always taken a while to sell, they seem to be hanging around much much longer these days.
The peak values also appear to be lower (including the super high asking prices from the usual suspects).

Perhaps this feels worse in a high inflation environment - but it’s definitely true that these cars have not “gone up” like many other relatively rare cars.

I paid £33k in October, so I’m happy… these cars are supercars when compared with other performance cars of the time, cult in that the Cerbera appeared in the Gran Turismo games, and they were never sold in the US. Providing the 25 year rule remains in place, these cars are only going to go one way over the next five years… IMHO.
