I need to replace the cable that goes from the big fuse to the starter solenoid

I can't find it listed, does anyone know whether it's available?

I don't have the crimping equipment necessary to make one, any recommendations for getting one made up?

Taping a ball bearing to the outside of the terminal, inserting conductors into terminal and pressing the ball bearing into the terminal using a vice will do the job

or

Blow torch, solder and heat-shrink

or

Any auto electrician

Thanks, good to know, as I was trying to work out what to do about the other cable that attaches to the solenoid, presumably it goes to the fuse box?

That is also getting a little frayed, so being able to replace the terminal would be very useful

Multiple starter motor remove/refits definitely highlighted the issues with the cables

Ideal if you can get the cable to a bench, but these can be used on the vehicle too.
(Granted, they're three times the price!)

Paul I have a crimper you can borrow, I'll be in Ruislip from Wednesday on days. Alternatively a soldiered one is actually better.

Thanks, it's probably the M0816 that I need, much appreciated

I will need to check whether the cable has 6mm eyelet for the fuse, and 8mm for the starter
