Oh Peter,
You are about to save my life !
I have been dreaming about a Two-Post Lift for years.
I am almost in a position to 'acquire' one BUT am pooing myself about the fixings.
I presume they are bolted into the floor ?
Cam you tell me how many bolts of what size go how deep ?
(Sorry to be such a pain but I am in an apartment and don't want to pierce the common drainage )
Apologies, I missed this Paul. You are about to save my life !

The lift is bolted down to the concrete floor. They supplied the bolts which were approximately 5–6 inches long. It is bolted with four bolts to each leg. That is it. Mine came from Automec and was only about £950 plus VAT. That gives you a full 6 foot clearance underneath the car and has a 3.5 ton capacity.
Any other questions please PM me.

...and they even use a Cerbera in their pictures. https://www.automotechservices.co.uk/products/230s...

You probably already know this, but the concrete has to meet certain specifications for a two post lift.
Once loaded, the posts want to fall toward each other (thereby pulling the outer bolts out of the concrete). Given how brittle concrete is, if it isn’t strong enough (and thick enough), failure is almost certain.
Learned this the hard way, thankfully without any damage or injury!

Often, this type of lift has the two posts linked by a substantial subframe which also carries the hydraulic pipes (or mechanical driveshaft in the case of my Bradbury) from one post to the other, and which gives the posts lateral stability. If the floor is poor or unknown, longitudinal outriggers (ironic!) can be specified which prevent the posts tipping fore and aft. In this case, the only fixings to the floor are through the extreme ends of the outriggers. I've heard it claimed that, if the car is positioned correctly, no fixings would be required...Once loaded, the posts want to fall toward each other (thereby pulling the outer bolts out of the concrete). The scimitar had the 3 L Essex engine that was fitted to the earlier capris and Mark one Granadas.
I fitted a 3.1 engine with gas flowed heads and some sort of Piper camshaft with Holly 4 barrel to my Consul GT, one of the first early MK1 Granada shapes As used by the Sweeney in the first series
That all made a nice improvement over the standard Essex engine..
That aside, you can pick up early Granadas now from South Africa with Ford V8s fitted which was standard fitment out there.
As you were.

Yep had 3.0 Essex 2.8 cologne and manual 4 speed overdrive/non overdrive but with this lump and the Scorpio A4ld gearbox it makes the car probably what it should have been - great cruiser and better fuel consumption with a 0-60 of around 7 secs - however as you all know this is not in Cerbera territory. Nice option to have for now👍
