That sounds like a good idea TC, I'll keep an eye on the TV forum smile
You obviously live around or were visiting someone in the Hurley area as I just followed both your MP4 and GTO along the Henley to Hurley road. Not sure how you managed to drive both of them at the same time though.
Was on my way to the Red Lyon for a bite to eat.
We were in the Pearl Gallardo behind that Yaris that was behind the GTO.
Amazing how fast a Yaris goes when it's behind a 599. Must be the toe! :-)

Or am I the only one looking past the supercars? hehe
No you are not the only one, my other collection is machinery, Fastrac, Kubota's, JCBs, etc etc! biggrin

I was just going to say that garage doesn't look big enough for all those cars, would of expected something like Andy's ^^^^ biggrin

A fine stable!
It is a little on the small side, but that is being rectified at the moment, new driveway, garages and parking should be ready in a few months! smile

Yes, that was me. I saw you pulling out from the wargrave road. I am based in Henley-on-Thames, my friend was driving the GTO and we were just off to the A404 for a little comparison test wink

The McLaren is a bit quicker than the GTO from all speeds, but to be honest not as quick as I thought. The 'feel' the McLaren gives you is that it is very quick, however whilst it pulled away from the GTO it was not by a great amount, and I had to be at ~6500rpm in the McLaren as anything below this the GTO pulled away.

The next VMAX event will be interesting!!

One question - why have you put a front plate on the MP4 when you dont bother on the GTO?
I'm sure the Mclaren will look better without a plate

The only reason is that the MP4 has a flat place exactly the right size for a number plate on the front whereas the GTO/458 does not and it just didn't seem to look quite right. I saw a F360 at goodwood with no front plate and that also looked a bit naf as the 360 has a flat plate area the same as the MP4.

What was so weird is that I was reading this thread for 1st time yesterday morning and when we came up from Wargrave and I saw the 2 cars I said to my wife, that's odd, I was reading about a comparision between the GTO and McLaren just this morning and they were both white and look at that! I wonder if it them? Small world.... wink

Quite a good road for a little road test, when it's not so busy. Very tempting to floor it, especially coming back up the hill from Marlow.

Is a really interesting thread btw. I'll mention it to my mate who works at Weybridge.

Matt, when I wake up in the morning I grab the keys to the Golf and toddle off to work, it's not a perfect situation as I'm not that in love with the Golf. However, when you wake up, you have to pick only 1 of your cars for the daily commute.

How on earth do you pick!! I'd end up driving too and from work about 5 times each morning to make sure I get to drive each car each day! biggrin

Did I also read that you have an FF on the way?!

We are very similar, you just got a LOT more money! hehe

As much as I love your collection of "stuff", it is missing one obvious addition which disappoints me, get THIS bought and redeem your self!!:

My car with its sister. Chassis number 121 and 122 (122 being my business partners)

Hi Matt, a lovely collection you have there with the 12C a worthy addition. You or your partner must know Neil with the Viper then, he was telling me how he hoped to see 121/122 before yourselves (but didn't). A SAS meet soon is a must thumbup
