That video is pretty damming as you can see that the GTO has jumped the lights and was travelling at speed

I feel sorry for everyone involved bar the GTO driver. He has ended the lives of 2 other people in a totally selfish act. Tragic.

"Lucky man" is the understatement of the century. Whether he ran through the lights, didn't see them, , wasn't paying attention, his set of lights didn't change, brakes failed I have have no idea but that looked very, very fast. Forget about the car, that's a huge loss of life which could have been "close call" if the car had come across a second earlier.

Local taxi driver slowed down for a second then buggered off I assume?

As an aside, who are there people around the world that always seem to have their video cameras rolling, often in the most seemingly mundane of circumstances, and capture all these things?

That is horrendous! Gives a better idea of the speed he was travelling!

Can also see that the lights were on red for about 7 seconds!

Exactly my thoughts. Running a red is unforgivable.

It will be interesting to see what the passenger of the ferrari has to say, as well as seeing some more footage of how he was driving before the crash, seems like he would have been showing off to his freind in the passenger seat.

yikes It's a shame how an act of stupidity can ruin the lives of many for years and yet the driver gets away without any grief. RIP those in the taxi!

The driver died...

But yes - no sympathy at all for him.

That was my point - dying is the easy way out if you've taken 2 innocent people out aswell. You don't have to face the family of those you've killed or the motorcyclist and mate you've seriously injured!

Not sure I would agree that dying is the easy way out - I am sure the 31 year old bloke would rather be alive. But yes, I get your point.
