I own a 360 Spider manual and 3.4S Boxster manual, I do think that the younger generation probably won’t want manuals, and agree past sensible HP only the latest fastest shifting boxes really will do, that said where can you exploit it all on our roads, so reasonably powered cars with manuals willdo nicely, for me anyway.

I don't get why people say just because a car has a lot of power a manual does not make sense - a CGT has more than 600hp, some Rufs have 800 Hp and People seem to be happy enough to buy them with a manual. I certainly would and if the cars I own were available with a manual that would definitely be my choice - for daily driver as well as for weekend cars - nothing more satisfying than a good manual box imo
And I agree the younger generation does not seem to want them, so the inflated prices might well retract in the medium to long term -,all the better for me if I am still around

As I said in an earlier post I suspect that nobody in Asia/Middle East/US wants a manual full stop.
DCT's are so much faster than any racing driver in a manual equivalent most of the 0-60 or 100 time is gained here so it makes more sense in a supercar than a manual to me.
I know people bleat on about driver engagement and feeling the gearchange but there are some very good automated systems out there that do give you that change of gear sensation without using your left foot.
Some of the changes are too fast and too smooth that the manufacturers have de-engineered them back. A Huracan performante in corsa mode is epic, far quicker than the old e -gear and a definite change of gear jolt without the break your neck every gearchange.
Manuals will be for the collectors but will go out of fashion so be warned if you buy in at the peak

I am still tracking RHD 355 prices FWIW.
RHD cars still averaging (for sale) price of £89-90k. That's been fairly static now for a few months.
What I will say is 3 things of note.
The cheapest RHD cars are now £70k. This is an increase this year as around this time last year you would see them for 5-10% less than that. The vast majority of cars are £80k +. So the bottom of the market is moving upwards but the top is coming down.
F1 vs Manual, not as much of a gap as there once was. Prices are starting to be similar - that said I am sure manuals will sell quicker? Who knows though.
There are fewer RHD cars for sale now than there have been in probably the last 2 years.
All that said, we are still a long way off the market peak back in 2016 when the average asking price was over £110k.

I'm really sorry but I simply do not have the time to continue with the market watch. I could never imagine how successful my workshop would become - we're absolutely flat out all of the time. It's not a bad thing but it does mean that I have to be careful how I spend my time and, unfortunately, some things have had to be trimmed back.
