the body has been repaird to a high standard
but what about the engine ,would the engine still have
oil presure if it was running up side down,IF IT WAS
RUNNING THAT IS.the car seens very straight underneath
could you get the car put on a gig to see if it was
straight
would this car be worth bying?

Wouldn't touch it myself. Even if you could convince yourself that it has the structural integrity to survive another rollover, could you convince the next buyer? Suspect it's cheap, and for good reason. Sorry.

You'd have thought that if the car had been on it's roof, it would have needed more than a skin !! Roof's aren't generally made with supporting the whole weight of the car in mind (not without some kind of structural damage, anyway)

Also, cars that have been on their roof tend to damage much more than a wing or so, in the act of getting onto it's roof (i.e. at least the whole side of the car).

Are you sure a) it's been on it's roof or b) it's not had much more remedial work than that ?

Oh, and to answer your first question, I agree with 456 ... wouldn't touch it, even if really really cheap. Too many possibilities for things going wrong, and you'll have big problems selling it on in the future.

Good, I'm glad you got an engineer to look at it. Better wasting a few pounds now, but having peace of mind / being able to walk away !

Congrats on the new car. Make sure you post some pics...always nice to see. Some people forget to and you can't blame them as they're probably spending all their time driving it.

Well if you are you have company. I painted my floor and my walls a couple of weeks ago. It can go MUCH further.

Chap I know tiled his garage, and laid a prancing horse logo in the centre of the floor. He's also put a patio table & chairs in there so he can take a bottle of wine of an evening and look at his car. Prancing knows him too and he's a great bloke, he really is.

Does it go further? Indeed it does. Legend has it that a bloke with a yellow Testarossa had a lift installed in his garage. He would drive his car in and the lift would take him to.........

his bedroom! Wakes up in the morning, checks his car, checks his wife, checks his car again, cleans his teeth and he's off. Quality!

Now only 6 hours to go. Damn those butterflies must be flying around now. What a nice feeling to have eh? It should be a good day today, but the weekend (which is what matters really!) will be perfect! Have fun.
