Hi all. I've moved from a Ferrari 458 to a McLaren 650S and am now thinking of what to get next and the Huracan is sitting quite high on the list. It looks jaw dropping good and the n/a V10 sound track is a real pull.

I'm off to test drive one hopefully this weekend.

I hoped to get some thoughts on a few questions.

- Anyone on here moved from either a 458/650S to the Huracan? How did you find the move and are you still happy? I'm going to drive one but wondered more about what it's like past the initial test drive which I'm sure will be awesome

- I think a 2014 good spec car can be had for 160-170k. I haven't really followed price trends so are they falling steeply and/or do they experience much of a winter dip. Just want to get the timing right as unlikely to drive it much this autumn/winter.

- Any views on must haves (lift/camera) and must avoids? Some say avoid the LDS...

Thanks for any thoughts !

Just sold my Huracan, 11k faultless miles over 2 years. I owned a 458 previously but never a 650. I can't comment on how the 650 compares but I do feel neither of them deliver anything near the theatre the Lambo does.
The Huracan is a very rapid car cross country and there's not much that'll show it a clean pair of heels regardless of what some might say on here.
You do need lift on these thy do ride low. I had dynamic steering on mine and never struggled with it. Some come with a glass back engine cover, again i preferred the standard back engine cover but had mine colour coordinated. Most important mod for me was a race exhaust, this transforms the car.
Value wise there are one or two cheap ones about but that's for a reason, they're usually iffy mileage or even ex hire. For high 160's I'd look for a main dealer 15 plate wit 2 year warranty left. These cars have lost 40k in 2 years and I don't see them dropping quickly given how good they are.
Enjoy the test drive!

Lift is essential. The H is very low at the front and most have minor scrapes underneath. As above, a sports exhaust brings it alive.

Also worth looking at the G SL2 as an alternative around the same pricepoint. Just makes an exquisite noise in Corsa and on the downshifts. And an Aventador is even better, if you want to spend a bit more. The scissor doors and V12 theatre are unmatched by any car at its price level.

Future prices of all such supercars probably depend on Brexit and Wall Street. Get a good Brexit and steady Dow and car prices should be stable or rise. Get a bad Brexit and soft Dow and car prices should dip.
