You would be advised to do your research on this company prior to any dealings.https://www.optimumvehicles.co.uk/audi-r8-spyder-v...

Ando so it goes on. Just got an email from the Audi finance guy who has revised the figures on the alternative car despite me telling the sales guy at lunch time the deal was off! Left arm right arm!! Does anyone think I have any mileage in complaining on this as been treated very poor or just let it ride and move on??
Oh dear, I am sorry about this.
I am able to assist further with the rate on the Black R8 because it is newer:
Car Cost £ 79,500
Deposit contribution £ 1,000
Part exchange £ 19,000
Cash deposit £ 14,000
48 x £ 452.38
Final payment £ 37,000
APR 8.1%
That's about 10k on top for the finance over 4 years There is an identical car up for 86k at present so I wonder what the deal is with this one as it is reported as being out of the box!! Who would have thought it could be so tough entering the R8 world
Opinions please 64 plate 5.2 spyder https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
black good spec 7k miles deal or no deal?

How long you been looking? I ended up in Belfast. Viewed 3 cars in UK, all rough. Massive massive differences in quality and condition even at main dealers. I viewed the same car Reece paid ppi on before we knew of each other. Because they are so useable and reasonable on running costs people seem to rack up the miles on them.
Bca auctions pass some right crud through which obviously end up at the smaller garages.
Easily crash damaged in wrong hands, very very expensive for panels and paint, loads sold, it's the perfect recipe for potentially buying someone else's problem!

Not long a few weeks I think main dealer is way forward unless I can find a one owner unabused example plus I need part ex and finance but nearly got stung at first hurdle any smaller dealer would have let me have that car. And the legal stuff would have been a nightmare!! At least with main dealer they are too big to hide from legal action.Bca auctions pass some right crud through which obviously end up at the smaller garages.

Yes I'd avoid a smaller dealer if you do need finance etc, I viewed one at £45k which had 3 pieces of paper for 60,000m "service history" one of which was an main oil change service for £110!
At a push he would have sold at £42k which gives you an idea of their profit margin still!
I've got a log in for bca and Mannheim but every R8 I've seen through those seemed to have numerous paintwork issues or was cat d.

No real help but from reading this thread, following the links and browsing other ads, I think I would hold out for red. All other things being equal I think it just suits that color really well.
Hi JimI still have the Ult that is going nowhere but just wanted to get a winter deal. I know what you mean on the red, every time I opened the garage door I might think " bugger"
Bear in mind as has been said before - an Audi extended warranty is the same whether you buy a car from Audi with it already applied, or you buy it for whatever car you buy elsewhere, or make it a condition of purchase if you buy privately.
That black one is nice but I'm struggling to see what is "immense" about the spec, and it's £86k. What's your budget? You're going to end up buying a current gen one at this rate.
The obvious point to make is that there's no point paying extra for a very low mileage car if you're just going to stick loads of miles on it yourself.

Sorry didn't make it clear the car they offered me is reg WD64SLZ details below they sent me the 86k one to say it was the same!! so makes it look value great sales trick. so if anyone can bring the spec up on this one I could know a bit more as they seem to know nothing about it at present as its at Leeds and obviously technology does not allow a photograph or two!!That black one is nice but I'm struggling to see what is "immense" about the spec, and it's £86k.
