599's have just appeared on my radar but would be stretching my budget at 120k. Are they holding steady? On the rise? Or set to fall due to the F12 & Superfast?

Opinions please...

Can't see them doing much around the £100k mark. Shot up, plateaued and have come back down again. Should remain reasonably steady now with acceptable depreciation. Dealer margin, buying and selling will be biggest cost so if you intend to keep it for a long while, stretch yourself and get the best you can

Agree with Rambo, don’t think they will move much. Seem good value compared to other V12 Ferraris

I sold my mint 2007 GTB in 2012 for 85K trade. I was its original owner, it was in Silverstone and had 13K miles. It was listed from memory by the dealer at 97K and sold immediately. I noticed it was sold again recently at c 120K.

Prices on all decent Ferraris increased from 2012. That said a mint GTB is an excellent car, I would say prices will ease slightly in line with the general market although mint examples will always have an edge.

IMO the F12 or 812 have little effect.

I agree,

I have asked about the 812 and lead time is 2021! That's so far out I was advised the replacement would be practically due by then, so I have well and truly missed the boat.

Therefore, I would suggest this is good for F12 residuals and everything underneath.

I remember Harry Metcalfe mentioning that 599s are undervalued last year from one of his videos.
While they may not make any major gains in the next couple of years I think they're less susceptible to depreciation caused by a changing mood in the overall car market compared to v8s. Epic car, very difficult to replace it with something else at that price point. I wish I didn't have to sell mine...

I nearly bought one but the inspection showed £20k of work required despite a full history and plenty of maintenance done.

Make sure you get a very thorough inspection by someone reputable, they are wonderful cars but can be a real money pit due to the electronics and complexity.

I pick mine up tomorrow........the best advise I got was buy one with a perfect history .....my 08 car has 37k miles .....serviced yesterday by gray Paul with new track rod ends and boots fitted.....8 main dealer stamps .........39% clutch worn so plenty of life left in it ....12 months unlimited value warranty
Values have dipped a little in the past 6 months but hopefully they should hold steady

Good luck with your hunt for the right car.......it’s half the fun
