Barrett Jackson sold FGT for $2.5ml plus fees!

Was for charity and car was donated by Ford. Bodes well for values when cars become eligible to be sold.

No fees at all being a charity lot, 100% of the money bid was going to the charity with no charges on top. And it was actually donated by the owner with Fords blessing (they talked about him being a ‘friend of Ford’ and how he had specced pretty much the highest amount on any GT sold)

After the hammer dropped the owner then donated an additional $50,000 to the same charity.

As the money is going to Charity does that mean the buyer get a US tax deduction from the purchase?
