The OP should check the classifieds. Black is the most popular or second most popular for all of the supercar brands. Orange pushes it to second for Mclaren , and obviously Red pushes it to second for Ferrari. Otherwise on Autotrader black is the colour with the most supercars for sale. That should answer the question?!
Yeah they're all for sale because owners sick of them always needing cleaning..... hehe

Supercars are hardly ever used as daily drivers so don’t get all the chat about them getting dirty and needing to be cleaned all the time. Mines ceramic coated and hardly ever gets dirty even if I happen to go through a rain storm it comes out relatively unscathed :-)

Blacks far too drug dealer/knightrider/nightrider for most supercars.

Nightmare to keep clean. Shows scratches. Shows dust.

Hides the lines.

Little road presence.

Unsafe colour for a rapid car.

Looks like a taxi.

Only advantage is it's easy to paintmatch for a respray.

So much nonsense it's hard to know where to begin...

Nothing wrong with the occasional mcDonalds. Live a little!

Obviously colour choice is highly subjective but I thought it interesting that the majority of supercars across almost all brands were black or the second favourite choice. The conclusion: most buyers prefer it, and most people don’t have an issue with it!

In my case, I didn't choose black - as a used car, that's how it came. No issues keeping it clean, no more so than any other colour. Would have been happy with any of the available colours, except white.

In my experience black stays clean for all of about 10 mins but then I am a bit OCD about having a clean car.

If you are not particularly fussy, drive the car occasionally and its your preferred colour then have it but the mere fact you need a poll to make up your mind suggests you are less than convinced

Colour choice is very personal so its not for the general public to make up your mind for you. If you are patient the right car in the right colour for you will turn up eventually and at least then you won't be thinking I wish I bought the red one lol

Black is the only colour for an F12 in my opinion

Personal taste. I've had plenty of black cars, currently I only have one that is half black. I simply wanted other colours rather than not wanting black.

As for taking care of a black car, full PPF makes any car easy to maintain. No swirls, no chips, no scratches.

Black is my favourite colour on a car, apart from Ferrari’s which I always buy in red (I’ve tried to buy other colours, but always come back with a red one).

I had a black Lambo and fairly regularly used to have people comment it was the wrong colour. I loved it and would have one again but I get why they would say that, especially with a Lambo.

I've had two black Lamborghini's but no-one has ever said that to me. And if someone did, I'd tell them to fk right off.

Would take some brass to walk up to someone with such a nice car and criticize it.

I certainly wouldn't make such a comment on someone else pride and joy. Would be incredibly crass and seeing as it's highly unlikely to go down well, no good will come of it.

I had a Ferrari in black and I had the occasional, "all Ferrari's should be red" comment but I had an awful lot of it's "nice to see a Ferrari not in red as it looks stunning in black"

To be honest my current Ferrari is red but I still think all Ferrari's look great in black.

Yes. I’ve had plenty of black cars over the years and the joy of the colour has never once been tarnished by the idea that they need more looking after.

If it’s clean or dirty, drive it and enjoy it!

Black! Party because it’s that sort of thread and partly because the 599 is a large car and a v12, both characteristics point towards black for me.
