They sold it at full price straight away. They could have sold a few times over they reckon.

Someone got a bargain!

Not surprised - I also thought it was well specced and the whole save one tenth of f*ck all on the car's weight by spending £25k on so called carbon fibre (as opposed to eating a few less pies yourself) made no sense to me. Well wear to whoever bought that.

Not surprised. Dealer bought it right and now realises they may have priced it too cheaply but wanted sub £200k price point.
Quick in and out is better than being too greedy, asking too much and having it still in stock 6 months later

great value @ £200k imo
the performance of the 720s has helped its depreciation, millions of people watch youtube drag/street races from america/comparison videos and it's really put the word out about the 720s being great value for money considering only possibly a konigsegg/chiron/veyron could beat it

Performance v £ its astonishing value

Smiles per miles is where it loses out.

Incredibly fast but not engaging enough unless you are doing warp speed which is hard to do safely on your typical british road.

Supercars hardly need to be more powerful and faster these days. IMHO they need to be more enjoyable and useable at sensible speeds.
My Performante is fun and feels fast at 30 mph because of the soundtrack

I think this applies to pretty much any modern car from GT Porsches to Ferraris/Lambos and McLarens
To say just because the engine sounds a little nicer it is so much better is a little questionable imo

true, they definitely make more sense in the states with long straight roads, cars generally having more power and much more of a racing scene. here in the UK a hot hatch puts you pretty much quicker than 95% of cars

I’ve got to agree with RL here, even starting up the Performante is an event on its own, and the noise and feedback is on another planet...

Modern day turbos are too good for what you need, ultra smooth power delivery and muted exhaust, isn’t as exciting, if you keep within legal limits.. imo.

Yes I agree its more than just about sound but that is still a big factor for me.
When I get asked which is the better car the 650S spider or the Lamborghini Huracan Performante I say the McLaren is the better overall car, faster, more comfortable, more practical, civilised and useable and that the Lambo is more FUN.

I think the 675LT spider might be the half way house between these 2 extremes

I do agree with you that sound is important (still think there is nothing better than a V12 Ferrari - well maybe a CGT, but can't afford that).

Alas modern cars are - unfortunately - all too fast to really enjoy on a road imo. Still would not want to miss the power though as on the Autobahn - where I spend a lot of time - it comes in rather handy ...

Am not a fan of convertibles, so for me it would have to be the Coupe - great car though - looking forward to pics when you get one

The sound of the .2 RS at 9,000 rpm is fun as well as at gear change .... but it is not a supercar

Come onnn, I remember this debate very well, a 991.2 GT3 drove past me the other day and I had a long think about it, a GT3 is a super car, I don’t want to hear any of that F40 on a poster waffle, any turbo or GT Porsche is a super car, the new ones that is with their insane performance and massive wings (apart from the turbo)

+1
We need more lightly inhabited roads in UK, not more power.
Cue another Alps roadtrip smile
