Mark ,Congratulations - great colour - we didn't have one in that spec at the Owners meet so keep it until next years one !
Jon says he 's looking for one now.

Thanks Al.

Jon was almost as overwhelmed as I was - just as well he was around for collection to bring just a little clarity when looking the car over. He's very good at that. Fortunately it was perfect.

Jon is hooked!

Assuming you were contemplating the lambo, can I ask what made you decide to go for the aston? More interested in the negatives rather than the positives.

Performante and GT8 are so different in concept and pretty much everything else you can't compare them. But Mark's new GT8 looks absolutely stunning and i love the colour combo.
I saw a green Performante pulled over on the hard shoulder on the M4 by Swansea this morning with its hazards flashing..I hope it wasn't as a result of a breakdown !
I also sat in the LHD white Scuderia Mark was contemplating. Talking about hardcore, it made the 991.2 GT3 RS sat beside it look like a limo in comparison.

Thanks John, much appreciate the comments thumbup

Agreed, the two (Aston and Lambo), are absolutely chalk and cheese. What made me go for the Aston.....to me it's (arguably), special in a way that the other options weren't. Before even starting her up I was made weak by how beautiful this thing is....so many little details all perfectly executed. Also, it's a manual, and a great manual box at that. Shot, precise and slick which was a nice surprise. And the noise....what a noise.

Love this car.

Lovely bit of kit! I do think that Aston shape is timeless. The shape has already aged well from the original v8 vantage form and will continue!

Given this is probably the thread with most participants, I will ask my question here.

My general view is that most cars are toppy price wise at the moment and I believe this will lead to further corrections (personal opinion and I have known to be wrong on a lot of stuff)

I keep coming back to the 550 Barchetta though - even at probably 3x the price from say 4-5 years ago, I still feel they are relatively cheap for what they are.

Last true V12 convertible
Last manual convertible
Very pretty imo (apart from the roll hoops)
Very limited at 448 built (and with an actual number x of 448)

Am I crazy in thinking this will quite possibly be a 7-digit car in 10-15 years?

I really want one, but couldn’t buy it without selling the cars I own (which is not sensible as it has a very narrow use window thanks to no proper roof and driving it 20k km a year would hammer the value). It might be the perfect 5k km a year summer weekend car though .....

Edit: RHD there seem to be only c 50 units according to DK Engineering ad
