Direct from the finance company, a Nissan GTR and Ferari 360 from the same source are in the auction too, a hire company that went under?

Mmmm, be interesting to see what this goes for. "Various warning lights" remind me of that US guy who bought the duff MP4-12C.

Nissan GT-R with 144,000 on the clock? Well driven Sir!

Track day experience cars I understand. Search the cars and 'track day experience' on Google Images...

If you read the reported service history, it's not seen a main dealer for 35k miles which would surely put off 99.9% of those interested, even if it was a very cheap car...you'd have to have very large kahoonahs IMO to buy it & it's very possibly a finance "snatch back".

As previously stated these are track day experience cars.If you look at the auction pictures they have cable ties around the rear plate where they slide in the track day company plate before they go out on track!

If its been used hard and driven regularly then provided it is serviced properly it will probably be the most reliable 12c out there...beside, they are generally very reliable, the internet is a great place for problems to be aired and its no news when cars are working fine.

^ this. You would have to be slightly or more than slightly crazy to buy this car.

If one of the major bits goes wrong, it's £20+k. Easily. Not serviced for over 3 years and 30,000+ miles doesn't exactly help, especially if it was an ex track experience car. maybe for a trade buyer that has a use for it, a low bid would work, not a private individual imo.

Except it doesn't look like it's been serviced for 35k miles and 3 years...I'm tempted at £30k though laugh

30,000 milage 12C are at the 80k mark,

100k, no history, potential for geaerbox and engine trouble which are both huge bills.

Would be amazed if it made £25k, at which price point it might be worth it as a breaker.

might throw a cheeky bid in.

Very interesting.. This would make a great project thread (for someone who has deep pockets) Maybe this car could put a number of sceptics to bed and prove to be very reliable and maybe only really need £30k 3yr service intervals, maybe the regular servicing is what causes the problems tongue outsilly

Thorney should buy if and do a full inspection and post a blog up

£30k plus £5k buyers premium and probable immediate £40k spend to bring it up to tip top condition as it hasn't been serviced for a long time and the interior looks very distressed so who knows about the engine (£2k service at least), gearbox (£8k overhaul), paintwork (£8k partial respray), electrical systems / check lights (£2k), AC (£5k fix), doors (£1k fix), new seats & carpets (£4k), Brake & suspension overhaul with tyres(£10k) etc, etc...! That makes it a £75k car and and £5k for all the botheration and you have a 100k mile 12C with very scant service history that has been abused on track experience days. Makes no sense when for the same price you can get an excellent 20k mile example! Don't anyone fool themselves that work wont be required. I can only see it being worth anything to someone like Thorney who could run it as a side project to showcase his work. Its a risk that might be worth taking for him for a £1 bid.

Given comments here I expect this will see £50k as auction fever takes over...the prospect of a £50k McLaren is too much for some and I've seen this before - even tears in the car park afterwards. hehe

That said, wouldn't be surprised to see this advertised by certain dealers at £80-90k with full service history in the coming months. rolleyes

Lots of that isn't necessary upfront though, it may have few faults, the owner may not care about the seats who knows. A guy on here bought a £17k (ASAIR) Ferarri 456 with huge milage and very little history it happens

£14k for the engine, gearbox and lights and tires

leave the paint as it is, give the whole thing a good clean, get in through the passenger door and enjoy a £44k supercar!

Or it might just need a good valet and a couple of fuses.

I've bought plenty of cars that 'might' just need a little bit of work. Buy the cheapest as the most expensive might still need work doing, used to be my mantra. After getting my fingers (and wallet) burnt far too often I have changed my view. There is no way I would buy this car. Even if you were lucky and it only cost you £20k to put right you would still only be £15K away from one with 20% of the mileage and in much better condition. Its just not worth it!
