Ok so it’s not the more popular 570, the interior is slightly questionable and it’s possibly been abused by 6 owners but this baby McLaren 540c looks like a cracking bargain and has a few decent options....

By way of comparison I’ve been offered a similar Milage 570s for £90k from a main dealer so feels like some real softening on residuals here...

I own a 540C, outstanding car. On the road I don't think you'd notice much of a difference between one and a 570S.
That specific one is an absolute bargain, although the mileage, the interior and it's missing the interior carbon pack is probably why it's priced as it is.
Regardless, it's a huge amount of car for the money.
Edit - reading that back it sounds a bit harsh. It's got a great spec apart from that. Nose lift, sports exhaust, B&O t

No I wouldn't say so, although when it's a less desirable colour, and interior, high miles etc... That all adds up.
Either way, I quite like the interior. At least its different.
Not sure what else is out there for that money, that has the supercar looks and performance. Bargain IMO
I’ve been reflecting on this over the morning as in the face of things it’s a great price. However the cars are very Milage / Price sensitive. It seems to impacts the residual hugely. Also factor in the following if not buying from a main dealer:

It’s not a mileage issue because I think McLarens handle mileage very well unlike other super car marques.
The price reflects the spec, general depreciation and the fact that the market is not buoyant at all right now.
The best time to buy a McLaren is the moment you can afford one because life is shorter than you think.

Whomever buys that has the unenviable task of trying to find someone happy being owner number 8 when the time comes to sell.
McLarens are hard enough to sell as it is.
You would also have to wonder if it has been a problematic car hence why nobody has held into it for long.
Pity, as its a nice looking car.

Do you think this is all the same car (RX66 BBF) or just similar configurations ? I remember seeing the first advert when I started looking for a car last year.

I don't see an issue with the interior, nor the mileage.
As mentioned above, once the interior has had a good detail with a steam cleaner the leather will lose the shine – it’s a nice natural leather type of colour. Macs have strong engines initially based on the TWR racing engine. The 3.8 has been the same platform in use since the 12C was launched but increased to 4.0 for the 720S and the Senna. Macs suffer from very few mechanical issues. Mainly niggles with false alarms due to oversensitive sensors and the infamous aluminium corrosion. Software updates should have addressed the sensor issue.
