I can only help you a little in that I have one, but I’m not looking to sell. Mine has 50k and if anyone offered in the eighties , I’d grab their hand, if it was in the seventies I’d be tempted, in the sixties I’d keep it.
As I said , not a lot of help, but real information on an actual car nonetheless.
I occasionally entertain the thought of a change to a 458 too, I like them. The reason I never have is, I also really like the car I have and there are two odd things I don’t like about the 458, the dummy tail pipes attached to the bumper and the twin rather than quad rear lights.
In your position, I’d buy whichever 430 suits you, or miss the 458 and go for a 488 from a desperate seller, if you can find one.

I have a 430 with 31k miles. If I was selling now, which I’m not, I’d be looking for 70k if my plan was to replace it with something else (any less and I’d keep what I have), or 65k if I was just getting out. Good luck, fantastic cars.

Going by the spread on ebay, the current financial climate and it being winter, £70k or just less should be getting you a good 'un as dealers will want to do a deal even if they means they make next to nothing rather than have it sitting till spring when it may need a service or bits etc before sale.
Problem is the best ones are most likely getting held onto by their owners.

Well I have some very recent knowledge in this department. Sold my 430 having had it 8 years with a full Ferrari history had 6 bids on it including the Ferrari dealer who looked after it for the last 8 years (2005 4 owners 27k miles)
All the bids were part exchange bids..
One dealer “didn’t want to stock it “until spring
My local Ferrari dealer bid me 65 against a California , or 60 if just to buy BUT WASNT REALLY interested.. very very disappointing after 8 years of loyalty.
One London Porsche dealer bid 55, a couple more around the country bid 63/64.
I eventually did a deal at 64 against a 991 turbo.

So much for keeping the service book well stamped, as someone with a high miler(well over 27k) I do most of the servicing myself. Yes I will take a hit when coming to sell but I reckon still in pocket by not getting Ferrari to service on a regular basis costing me ££££ on simple jobs.

this isn't uncommon unfortunately, when i was selling mine i spoke to Top 555 and they weren't interested as it was high mileage! (23k)

That looks lovely, I am sure you would have achieved more than 64k for that car if you listed it privately...its the right colour combo with fair mileage and great history. All the bids were part exchange bids..

The thing with the F430 is that its probably more important to get the right car at the right price than the wrong car at a low price, as they can easily throw up 4/5 figure bills which would eat away immediately into any saving or hard bargaining that was achieved. So would strongly recommend a PPI regardless of the price paid.
J3mge, I love those wheels, probably the only thing I fancy changing on mine. Your post is the best yet, slightly disappointing values, but pretty much as expected. Our cars are very similar, 2006 and I’m the third owner of seven years, but at 50k miles, I can guess what they’d say about that.
Realistically though, even at a low trade bid, me and anybody with similar isn’t actually doing too badly, I’d didn’t pay a ransom for it and it hasn’t cost a fortune to run. OP, you could do worse than just hunt down a few private ones to pick from,

Joking aside, once upon a time I guess ultra low mileage cars were a lot rarer than they are now and commanded a lot higher price when come to resale so some owners have avoided using their car too much to keep the value at peak, what you have now of course is a market flooded with cars under 30k miles with dealers saying 27k is excessive on a F430, it's got rather silly.A Ferrari is a great car to drive not an ornament.

LHD 430/360 are proving a tough sell currently according to one specialist I spoke to.https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2019-1...
The cars in the lower price bracket with “elevated” mileages are even more so.
