Yes maybe so...but at $40-50k...it would be interesting to know exactly how many F355s have sold in the last 12months and for how much here in the U.K.He suggests 355 prices may have broadly settled now.
A huge amount of the F355s currently for sale were up for sale even before i sold mines around 15 months ago, and for pretty near the same prices advertised.
Mines was an extremely rare one and could of (should of) sold for about £40k more approx 12 months before if i were interested in selling at that point...as it is mines still sold for a ridiculous amount, and an amount that i feel F355s shall never achieve again.
Never mind that price..buying a F355 beyond £65k now would be madness...pretty yes...pretty expensive to maintain...oh yes.
Will they go back down to what i sold a cracking rhd F355 spider for in 2011...quite possibly so.
I have been reading 355 pricing, detailed analysis and opinions for 15 years or more. No one got it right. People would have bet there houses that 30-40k was the absolute top end for a top end car and will never go any further.
Read the same about the 246 dinos to, no one got that right either.
What I do know is that for a 25 year old model, it's not doing bad price wise against 20 year more modern models like the MP4-12C and Audi R8s.
Although non of it really matters, we are all doomed anyway

Your bang on...i almost danced a jig when i sold my spider for £31k in 2011...however it was a good % less than what i had paid for it in 2005.Read the same about the 246 dinos to, no one got that right either.

However, as a sucker for good looks, it made total sense to buy another spider after a few months without, and its still the prettiest Ferrari out there to this day.
Nobody would of predicted in 2011 these would achieve a strong 6 figure sum...no-one...and i sure as hell have never bought any car as an investment..its always been about for fun and memories.
Your lucky fez...you know your car inside and out and can fix anything that can go wrong with it...i also seem to remember you posting many moons ago that you had a small stock of bits...not many out there in that fortunate position and that can make ownership an expensive business.
I unfortunately fell out of love after around 14 years as i got fed up with driving with one hand on the steering wheel and the other with my fingers crossed that i would complete the journey without an impending failure.

I really like his articles,.,..always liked his EVO column. He knows a hell of a lot more than me about buying and owning these cars but I don’t think the world is full of people that want to spend £50k on a car with a reasonable high % of that having to be spent on maintenance. Very different when you look at that cost as an “investment” when prices are going up but when prices are flat it’s harder to absorb. He suggests 355 prices may have broadly settled now.
Without doubt aesthetically the bargain Ferrari !

I love all these F355 price speculation posts, there must be one every month! For years. The people who don’t own one say prices will drop back to old levels (wishful thinking) The people who own one like myself say they will creep up eventually, I say just drive them and enjoy them, and also who cares about low mileage, buy a car or what has been done to the car and originality and condition / service history. :-)Read the same about the 246 dinos to, no one got that right either.
