Sorry mate no means to offend, I don’t know allot about Ferrari, But very nice car mate would love to own one in my life one day but I guess dreaming is free lol. Do you mind me asking I am new what is a Aviator award ?
just read back over the last couple of pages of the thread pal... it's just a bit of friday banter relating to the poster "Aviator1" and his classification of "dreamers" and "doers"......however..... am i smelling something fishy here?... you might just be an alt account for the afore mentioned Aviator1 ??
Please excuse me jumping in, reading though I notice the Ferrari F-430 was bought up, excuse my arrogance never owning a Ferrari, are they quite a good super car to work towards owning if you are on a limited budget. When I mean limited budget I mean buying a super car without spending large amounts of money around $150K. I am from the states so its dollars for me lol.

ok,ok, i'm going to play along Aviator1....i have owned 2 f430s (both manual) for the last 10 years...(one after the other, not at the same time!
purchase price you can budget for, obviously..running costs are quite heavy though.
both my cars have needed ball joint replacements, manifold and bracket replacements on top of regular servicing costs...
in us$ you will need to budget around $3000 per year service costs but if you suddenly have to do manifolds for example you can easily treble that figure.

If Aviator has bought a Lambo then I have an 11-inch penis.
It’s clearly a troll account and clearly the same person behind the Tim account too.
Let’s not forget the OP’s first post and other subsequent posts were written in near-perfect English, complete with colloquial speech.

I guess this question would have been thrown out there a few times, This is not to offend but I really want to know how people can afford to buy Super cars and not just one but sometimes three or four. Asides from the few who might have been lucky enough to have a wealthy family or a company that makes millions. What kind of saving strategy can you do even if it takes 10-15 years to actually finally get your dream car. I know that most people dont have a cool $250K to half a million burning a hole in our pocket and i realize cars all vary in price if is $100K car or $500k car or even a million and even if you make $100K a year paying the car off on the weekly or monthly payments still does not give you much money to play around with.
After I experienced my first ride in the Ferrari F-430, the sound and speed its just amazing, not everyone gets to experience that and I wanted to start a company that offered that experience where people could drive a Ferrari or Lamborghini, Where i live there is nothing like that.
Thanks for the advice look forward to hearing from you all.

Enough. Isn’t it time to introduce a ‘verified’ indicator on PH? I propose the following flag system to go alongside your PH username:
Green - garage proven using the traditional ‘photo with an object’ method (object chosen at random by PH)
Amber - no proven garage but not making claims to own anything either
Red - claims to have a vehicle for which there is no proof.
Doesn’t stop people who don’t want to share what they own posting, but it does allow the rest of us to ignore the opinions of those who claim something but won’t back it up. Anyone like to second this proposal?

People like to lie and brag to boost their self esteem but deep down they know the truth about themselves, that is enough for me.
Off for a blat in the Enzo now
Never really bothered me whether people own what they say they own. Who cares? Although perhaps that means I'm pretending too.....
I get more annoyed by the repeated "my sister's hairdressers boyfriends aunties dog walkers dad had a McLaren, so when I say they all break down I know what I'm talking about" posts.

Interestingly though performance of modern day cars has at least come to the front door step of yesterdays supercars, if not exceded
(mapped/ tuned Golf R's or even Skoda Superbs - lol)
So for many "ordinary" plebs surely the answer is have something more mainstream/sport you can affording within your own budget and stop aspiring to things you can't afford?
That could be called greed in some cases.....
Also have to mention sorry but I actually need a sick bucket for looking at a lot of the modern Lambo's, do nothing for me....the classics are more interesting though. There was the crashed one in the news recently did you see that ?
I didn't think it looked much worse AFTER the accident....
Taste, choice and wealth obviously is anothe debate altogether here.
Of course there are many, many brands besides Audi/Lambo, not quite sure what I would aspire too. I actually feel I'd be more pulled towards the classics personally, they put the class in "classics" and its rare to see that in any modern cars regardless of cost.
