the worst moments were in the 348 when it wouldn't start (replaced starter motor later on which solved this).
happened once when i was in a morning suit waiting in traffic to get into ascot for the races. ended up having to push it to the side of the road w/ the help of the guys in back of me....so much for the grand entrance.

happened again in a major traffic jam in a downpour when i was late for a meeting. every car that went by (slowly) had their 2 cts of abuse to hurl my way......

one of the best ones though was when i was driving the 512tr back up to london from rome and stopped for a couple days in monaco. i had agreed to meet one of my friends for a coffee at the hotel de paris (his office is close by). when i pulled up in front, the doormen came scurrying over to take the keys and watch it, and my father went across the street to take a picture of the car. just then a huge tourbus full of german retirees was unloading in front of the casino and they see my father taking pictures and assume i am 'somebody' so they all started taking pictures too and coming across the street to get autographs ! it was crazy ! the doormen fended them off and escorted me to the entrance of the hotel ! now i know what i feels like to be tom cruise hahaha.

another good one on the same trip; was when we were passing by reims at around lunch time and just wanted a decent meal somewhere. i see a sign advertsing a restaurant and my father looks it up in the michelin guide. just as we pull into the driveway for this little chateau, he finds it in the guide and its one of the top 5 restos in france, very formal, jacket and tie required etc. we are wearing jeans and polos... but we're hungry, so i go up the stairs and am met by a not-to-be-trifled-with maitre d'hotel. i ask if there is a table free. he looks at me and then he looks at the car. then he says, park it right here in front and come on in !! the rest of the customers were surprised at our attire to say the least......i guess the michelin guide should be amended....jacket and tie or ferrari, your choice.

Just a quick one to chill out and bring back good memories. I know every moment is a great moment, but there has to be one that stands out.

Best: Seeing a nice red Swiss Diabolo parked up one day.
The speedo, being metric, goes round to a mere 340 kmh.

Worst: getting in the way of a 512. The first time
I've seen a Ferrari brake so hard that blue smoke
appeared from the front brakes.

Most top end kit I see does no more than 60-65 mph up the M1,
and gets overtaken by spotty Garys in diesel Astras.
