I've just had a request from the dealer to give them my spec for my 360.
No firm delivery date yet but it should be early in next years allocation.

So any views on exterior / interior colours or options I should / shouldn't have.

On colours I'm thinking...
Gialo fly Yellow - No
Tour de france blue - too boring.
California blue - see above
Grigio - blends into the road
Arjento - done to death on a milion BMW/ Mercedes
Rosso - the default choice, too obvious, and my 355 was red
Nero daytona - Hhmmmmmm evil, menacing, I like it.

So Black is looking favourite but will it look a bit nothing? And what interior?

Nero with red carpets might be nice, but will it be a coal hole?

I'm driving myself and the wife mad, Heeeelllllpppp!

i will take some pics of my spider on saturday.

David Beckhams 360 looks drop dead sexy in black / cream - go for it! Red is too common, silver too dull.

Hi Bertie,

For what its worth, I think Red looks the bollocks. Its lovely and suits the lines of the 360 perfectly. Its resale is also guaranteed, the red bordeux carpets will go better, and cream leather will work well as will black. Second choice would be black with red calipers and scuderia shields. IMO it needs the shields as it will otherwise not scream Ferrari at first sight (Okay it will but you know what I mean). I agree yellow no no for 360, silvers done to death and blue looks weird. Black works with cream very well but red carpets look a bit weird. Black in black too dark for my liking and with black carpets major no no (all IMO of course). Black with Bordeux leather looks good too.

I'd say:

Rosso corsa
Cream/Black leather with stitching or piping
Red/Bordeux carpets
Scuderia shields
Red Calipers

Nero
Bordeux/cream (or black if you must)
Red/Bordeux carpet
Scuderia shields
Red Calipers

I'd go for spec one personally but if black, get scuderia shields and red calipers.

Regards

Ninja,
I hope you see my car saturday and eat your words :-).
Black on black does look the nuts, the silver stiching looks the biz as well.
Not so sure about the shields though, i havnt got them on mine so i am biased :-)

I reckon Rosso or Nero suit the 360 best! On the right track there....

BTW: Kev can you make it to Rich's "fitting" on Sat morn, for an impromptu repeat of the Egham hoon...

Sorry about taking the thread of topic Bertie.
In fact it's not really off topic because if you and Kev can make it down on Sat morn we can compare the Rosso VS Nero and Berlinetta VS Spyder theories perfectly!

Oh God it's not this Saturday is it? Can't do it if it is. I have to take the kids over in the morning and there's not a chance in hell Mrs 456 will be ready earlier than 11.30

Basher- the way I chose my colour scheme was to go round several dealers looking at the stock. It's not good enough looking at pictures or trying to imagine it; make the most of the fact that there are several for sale in all sorts of schemes and go check them out in the flesh. You could make a fun day of it and it helps heighten the anticipation too. I chose red for both cars 'coz I like it. Would have preferred crema over nero interior but with sticky fingered children around it would get ruined.

No wonder it's driving you and the misses mad Bertie!!!

I have often thought what spec I'd have on a 360 if my six numbers came up on the lottery. I was constantly chopping and changing my mind from this to that and then back to the other. Christ, I wasn't even in a position to buy and it was driving me mad

Anyway, just to put my 2p worths in. I finally decided on:

Exterior:
Rosso Corsa - It just has to be!!!!!
Front Challenge Grill
Red Calipers
Xenon Headlights
TUBI - Without Question

IMHO I would not have the Scuderia Shields. I think they look a bit tacky (Sorry to owners who have them). Everybody knows it's a Ferrari regardless of the colour, so why stick a great big in-your-face badge on the side. It spoils the look of the car. I'm also not a big fan of the Rear Challenge Grill, again I think it does nothing for the look of the car.

Interior:
Sports Seats
Racing Harnesses
Crema, Tan or Nero
Bordeaux carpets
Leather Headlining
Relevent Stitching and/or piping
Roll Bar

Ahhhhhhhhhhh we can but dream
As Kev has already said, I would go around as many dealers as you can to check out the specs etc of relevant cars. There's no subsitute for actually seeing something if the flesh.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll love it.
Have fun
Jay.

P.S. Should you choose the spec I've listed above please please let me see your car

Thanks for the views chaps, a tour of local dealers beckons I think.

I'm erring towards manual rather than F1, Nero exterior, Nero / bordeaux interior with contrast stitching and bordeaux carpets, Scuderia shields (I love them), red calipers and upgraded audio.

I'm not keen on the challenge rear grill myself, what are the challenge front grills?

I don't think I want harnesses or roll bar as this is a road car fome me, plut at £1200 the harnesses are the biggest rip off ever, apart from £2245 for delivery ( not including road fund licence and first registration fee!!!)

Anyone thought about a wing? Have a look at our cars in the image galleries at www.procar.com.au or www.prancinghorse.com.au.

We make the tough looking wing used on our challenge cars ourselves, and have also just started to make the big straight wing on the N-GT. The curved N-GT wing is not used anymore. (Downforce/drag ratio not as good).

Need to check, but challenge cost's about A$3000 inc fitting kit. About 2 hours skilled labour to fit. Gives up to 120kg downforce at 250kph. We also fit front splitters and flip ups if required, but you wouldn't need these on the road, just the wing.
