Luce. Ferrari, you cannot be serious!

Seems inside the factory there is genuine surprise by the negative reaction on the top floor.. on the production floor they are seriously concerned for their jobs, they are beyond raging what has been happening to their car company. Heads will roll, hopefully top level. I knew Luca leaving was a tumultuous day but in hindsight it was way larger.
Having suffered the communist rage of 1970s Ferrari workers in having to produce rhd versions of their cars for bourgeois Brits and their absolute disdain and contempt, I am somewhat hoping for a similar uprising from their current workforce against this abomination and insult to all things gloriously wheeled donkey. Tools should be downed, CAD machines smashed and the top floor defenestrated with extreme prejudice. Lewis has told the digital binary boys to F off with their simulation b
ks and gone back to old school analogue feelings - there needs to be a similar change of attitude in the road dept.A man who designed a phone just designed a Ferrari. Think about that for a minute.

Generational fumble.Chris Bangle’s designs got a disproportionate amount of flak at the time because they were a departure from the accepted norm of BMW brand identity.
This departed the planet entirely by comparison. As said above if you removed the badges you’d never think it was a Ferrari, or even a supercar.
I can’t imagine the addressable market for a projected ~£400k Ferrari EV whose looks can at best be described as “polarising” is big.

Not an automotive channel, but more a sci/tech channel, but Cleo is a very good presenter and interviewer and this video just popped up on my subscriptions, and it is about the new Ferrari Luce and she is talking to the designers of the car, a very informative video I found.
Odd- nowhere to they mention they used to work for Fisher Price.ex-devonpaul said:

Leaving all else aside, I think the most serious problem the Luce has is that some other manufacturer will (or has already) produced something better/faster/longer ranged for less than a quarter or a fifth of the price. Then it has to survive on "Ferrariness" which is harder for an EV and maybe not that important for one.
Harris was interesting on his chat with mates pod - the journos that were invited to the launch were screened for those wiling to be positive and so he obviously did not get an invite
He did however suggest they would seek sufficient Based around ownership being necessary to secure the right to buy the more desirable limited edition models - it’s a crazy world when you need to spend 6/700k to secure the RIGHT to spend 7 figures on a car you actually want

t artist or not. Or just an artist and the fluff that comes with that
Interesting how they talk about "users" and not drivers. Also how he believes "users" value authenticity etc...... yet fake gear paddles that do other rubbish.

Anyone who’s been there, would be interesting to hear your thoughts..
This is the interior of the Ferrari F12. To me it's a drivers environment, I look at it and my brain goes "right, we're going for a drive". You get in, sink into that seat, grip that steering wheel, and your pulse immediately jumps 20 bpm.

This is the interior of the Polestar 3. I look at it and my brain goes "Right, we're off to the shops. Do we need eggs?". You get in, sit on that seat, grip that wheel, and relax. There is nothing wrong with that, it is a lovely interior, it's very well built and quite classy, and it absolutely suits what the car is for.

And this is the Luce interior. It produces the same reaction in me as the Polestar. Polestar is not Ferrari.
