Strong rumours are that it was the same 90 year philanthropic billionaire who bought the Daytona SP3 for 27 mil last year. I believe that was said billionaires first ever Ferrari purchase.

Other rumours abound that this was already pre-agreed and to put a positive spin on the PR disaster that was the Luce launch. If the above is true about the philanthropic billionaire buying it to aid better causes, of which i understand he supports many, it at least puts to bed all those rumours of money washing.

In other news just got an email invite to go see the Luce either in Italy or Austria. I am tempted to go and look at it (can't afford it and don't really want it, so I would feel a little guilty taking a spot that a genuine buyer could use). Not sure.

I can't afford the Luce, let alone the halo car - so lists are not really all that relevant to me
I would like to see it in person though given I really hope pictures do not do it justice ....

Apparently the Luce is sold out in Asia in relation to the allocation there till end 2027, and it may be close to being sold out in Europe for the same period. They aren't going to make tons of them and Ferrari are definitively not stupid. I'm not a hater, just not a buyer of this at that price or any EV at any price at the moment. So I can see why it seems to be working. Also they knew there would be howls of outrage (remember the air coolled outrage among Porsche fans?). And they did say it was for new customers.
