Ferrari Run

Okay all this chat about Tubi's has got me thinking.
should we arrange a run from say Egham into London, taking in the dockland tunnels / stop off at a wine bar / pub for a quick drink then back..

No silly speeds !!!!

If I can do the date (whatever it is) I'm up for it. Agree with Ninja that you need to be able to reach 8K for more than a couple of seconds at a time (and first gear doesn't count).

TVR LOVES those tunnels... esp since Decat

then round marsh wall, thru the canary wharf underground roundabout plenty of walls to reverb off.

not really sure about giving the cars real stick.. we can organise a track day for that..

just some good fun 8.5k in third, overtaking each other in 2nd and 3rd for the heck of it.. besides in town 50 feels like 90mph

from 8pm till about 12pm..

My tubi goes on by about 15th or 16th March. Agree that there is seriously no way that we are going to get some decent speeds about, but 2nd gear at 8.5k revs is still fast for London.

Only problem Okey, is that West End might be choked at that time on a Saturday night, but then again...

But there are sooo many tunnels to run in those areas. If anyone has the balls, Heathrow airport tunnel (one at the top that no one uses) is a pretty deafening experience.

This definitely needs to be done!

There are some good tunnels in London as have already been mentioned, but also the Hyde park underpass and the Tunnel along embankment.

As Ali says Saturday night might be a bit chocker BUT the good bit is a Ferrari convoy will blow any passers by away.

By the way Ali, just had a look at CAD and I definitely require your services for the FOC...we will discuss this later.

TrackDemon.. the more the merrier... only reason I suggest London is cause we don't have a choice to speed... hence speeds are nice and sensible... we all go home with cars lives and licences in tact.... If we went out somewhere remote we will all be hitting 150 and then you have big problems of we get stopped or if some one loses the car..

There will be pockets of open roads to open up.. thinking of Knightsbridge, A4 from Chiswick flyover into London... Docklands....
West End about 12 should be more than quite for our needs...
how about March Sat 15th or Sat22 ?
