Only drive it in the dark ?

Edited to add: just winding you up Tuscan S, I've never seen the point in doing anything to a car that doesn't make it go faster, stop quicker or handle better. P'raps it's just old age

Are the wheels really lighter? Haven't they been dipped in chrome?

Well I heard they were lighter. They are made in Japan and claim to be lighter than standard Murci wheels.

Who cares when they look that good!

Dom thinks I should get one in bright orange....if I can get the 'living flame' effect paint shown on the Dodge Copperhead concept a while back Id be VERY tempted have to say...

When is yours coming Nightmare... and what colour is it?
You've got to take me out for a burn in it so I can actually get a chance to enjoy this car unlike last time (see related thread...)

Agree 100% with this. Mind you seeing one 'live' doesn't half help!

And now, I need flaming.

I think the Gallardo is bloody awful.

I fully reserve the right, however, to do a complete about face the first time I see one in the land of the unapologetic toupee (Cheshire).

There was a yellow one at the Paris motorshow and it looked absolutely stunning.
I do not know what kind of yellow this is - clearly a metallic color - but certainly the most beautiful yellow I have ever seen on car.

(It looked much much better than the dark blue one which was at Le Mans classic; it would appear dark colours do not do any favour to this utterly beautiful shape.)

No, No, No.
The Gallardo is not bloody awful, in fact its wonderful.
One thing I really must point out is that it looks alot better in the flesh and nothing, I repeat nothing like a bloody Toyota!

Thom, I think the yellow you are talking about is Giallo Midas, which was one of the Gallardo show colours.

As an aside, I think if you are going to buy a Lamborghini you need to go stealth colour (black) or "look at me I have a lambo" (orange or yellow)

Just spotted this in Windsor. Very nice. Still not convinced on the wheels though.

Not sure if it's just the colour but it appears a much smaller car on the road than the Diabolo.

Gallardo is bloody awful ????

I am really looking forward to seeing one on the road.
And DER....I am really suprised at your response have you had a transfusion of something other than optimax?

The one thing with all of the gay-ardo pictures I have seen is the strange angle of the rear diff from the rear view,,,WHY!!! it's like talking to a beautiful girl and you cannot divert your eyes away from a spot on her face....maybe I should be looking elsewhere in both intances ?
