Hi Guys,

anyone read the December issue of FORZA magazine?
There is a 4 page article about the owner of Digi-tec in Germany, Michael Pullmuller (great name!).
He's personal cars are - wait for it - a 360 Modena
AND a 360 Spider.

Both with Digi-tecs ECU upgrades that took 1 year to complete first time round to make it just right. Get this - you get another 30-40 BHP, take the top speed up to 198 actual speed, rev limiter raised to 9200 and the best part, a 2 year engine and drive train warranty for £200 !!!
All for what I can work out to be either £3500 fully fitted
or 2 x £750 for replacement ECUs that then need to be fitted by yourself. Important to have them fitted by Digi-tec though as they tailor to YOUR car - it is NOT a 'blanket chip' that may or may not give 80% only.
Apparently they give 5 years warranty on the ECUs and 2 on the car itself following the work carried out.

According to Digi-tecs owner, who now runs 2 x 360s both modified (in addition to the many customers cars modified since 2000), the engine can easily rev to 9200 and by raising fuel input at high revs it actually runs cooler and better as the stock car runs a slightly lean mixture at high revs.

Furthermore, Digi-tec can lower your stock car on the original dampers by 25 mm AND put a specially designed spacer between hub and wheel to widen the track for enhanced stability. It also looks darn good I can tell you. Look at your 360 and you will see the alloys being slightly 'inside' the wheel arches rather than filling them out completely following lowering and widening track.
Apparently this is better than fitting 19 inch Alloys as they do the handling no favours..

Just thought I would share this with everyone in case you hadn't seen the article.

I'm VERY tempted....

This may sound arrogant Brian - but there is nothing (other than the lowering by 25mm) that the Digi-tec boys can do that I can't....- 440hp shouldn't be problem... I'm totally serious!!!

That's what I like to see Manu. PMA Positive Mental Attitude

Christ, I can't imagine what 440bhp must feel like I was blown away by the standard car

Jay.

P.S. Manu, did you receive the e-mail I sent you with my home address?

P.P.S Bebbesen, If your interested in selling the magazine, when your finished with it of course, I'd gladly purchase it. Would love to read the full article

B, could you run off a couple of copies and bring them along on Sat..
440bhp sounds awesome... but I thought that at 3.6 liters / 400BHP the car was nearly running max output.

No problem Kenneth. I'll bring some copies with me + the original. You've got to see that 360 spider lowered and widened... awsome.
By lifting the rev limiter to 9200 you obtain another 30-40 BHP. Add a tubi to that and you're talking serious performance.

Z, do you want me to send you a copy? or just check out
www.digi-tec.net ?

cheers

I am going to finish this thread by saying;

Manu at Scuderia can actually give a 360M 440 BHP with relative ease.

Tubi + Group M Carbon Dual air intake + Group M ECU =
roughly 430/440 BHP apparently - at a price rather a lot less than the Digi-Tec upgrade...!

Any takers? I'm thinking....

Hmmmm, In our race team, which admittedly means all the cars are revved to max every time in every gear, the oil pump drive chain and tensioner falls to bits at those revs. Hopefully you can stop in time and repair it before major damage occurs.

But.....the small end of the conrod on a couple of engines have also opened up.....sending the piston and any components in it's path into orbit.....and the remaining parts of the conrod turn into a helicopter effect and saw the block in half.....

I'd stick to 8700 max if it was my car, but there is power to be had within those revs, and a few major component upgrades are available..if you know the right people....but I'd never put them in a race car where the rules clearly say no.
