thats not my quote. thats one from will, but a lambswool mitt is safer imo, but each to his own.

I seriously can't believe you have used that on your car.. I wouldn't use the yellow side, never mind the green!

A good machine polish will sort it out hopefully.
+1 Ill leave my comments to myself I think....wise wink but if it hasnt gone though to the base coat which I will assume it hasnt, T-Cut or 1800>2000 wetsand > polish will bring it up again easy.

Just so you know those pads (the green side) are used by car painters to rough up the smooth paint surface to get new paint to adhere to it. hehe

sod the sponge fullstop...use the Meguiars Lambs Wool mitt, with the bug remover on the other side...works brilliantly

I went to his workshop this morning and was pretty impressed from what I see - so fingers crossed.

I bought Autoglym Insect Remover and it works great - you can wipe off the insects etc very easily and lightly with a polishing cloth / wash mitt.

If you have a decent layer or 5 of wax, I use Swissvax personally, then the bugs should just pretty much hose off.

Very entertaining thread though, certainly makes a mockery of the two butcket method biggrin

I've just binned the idea of using a sponge!
Got myself some sort of lambs wool mitt thing - does a better job... and is quicker!

I've also binned my genuine chammy leather in exchange for the synthetic type - again, much softer and absorbs more water!

Try using Micro fibre cloths!

Yes, but got the bugs off the bonnet though! Not all bad news then.
