While I had the wheels off my car the other day for a post-Brunters clean out of the cross-drilled holes in the brake disks, I noticed the springs were clearly marked as Eibach items. I normally associate that brand with aftermarket fitment, but I could be wrong. Anyone know if they were standard on 3200's?

Also, I couldn't spot any obvious valving/plumbing/wiring around the shocks that would give away the presence of the electronically adjustable damping. Anyone know what I should be looking for?

I'm just wondering whether the factory fitted kit has been replaced at some point? It's a Trident Approved use car that was sold to me as having electronic suspension so I'd be surprised; however, since getting the car I have always thought the most noticeable difference when the sport button is pressed is the more lenient ASR operation rather than anything in the ride. Can anyone tell much different in ride/handling when the sport button is pressed?

I'd have to say whatever is on there is pretty much to my taste, so I'm not overly worried about this, but it has just triggered my curiosity.

I can't tell you whether your parts are standard but I could never tell much difference in the suspension firmness. I used the sport setting to allow more wheel spin and sliding but with (maybe) some safety belt.

sport mode doesn't seem to change the ride much on mine, but it does let the T/C off the leash which is nice. so in short, I figure your suspension is just like everyone elses....

What is stock ride height on 3200 equipped with this electronic suspension? measured from wheel well to center on wheel hub.

Mine has one but car is so low that i am havin g hard time to drive over normal speed bumps on city.

The ride height is specified as the distance between the centre of the lower shock mount and the upper surface of the spring platform. This distance is then dependent on the spring rate (denoted by the coloured mark which has probably worn/rusted off by now)...

Red = 163.5mm (Front) & 185mm (Rear)
Colourless = 166mm (Front) & 187mm (Rear)
Yellow = 168.5mm (Front) & 189mm (Rear)

Also note that the springs sag with age.

Thanks, Mine has colourless (which is my best guess since they are looking good and clean but with no visible colour marks on them) springs and measurements are 140mm (Front) and 165mm (rear). So i will adjust it quite a bit higher before something breaks on our bad roads...

Ride height has now been adjusted to specs mentioned above and now the car is on its way to 4-wheel alignment. Obviously also at least Camber is off now with bigger ride height and i need shimming plates.

where have you ordered these? i found quickly only this place:

front: https://www.superformancemaserati.co.uk/acatalog/3...

rear: https://www.superformancemaserati.co.uk/acatalog/3...

And i am also interested how much every 1mm shim affects on camber (roughly).
