Says the man that always wins! Whilst I don't care if I win or loose. I'll be pretty fed up if, on the start line like last time, I have to ask the marshal to tear off a bit of paper so I can fold it up to hold open my visor so I can see where I'm going.

Certainly wasn't great having to go one handed and hold it open every straight.
If you have your own helmet you should be able to crank it open a little bit (hire helment tend to be a bit warn). If you are jumping kerbs then you will find it slams shut on you and you will need to open it again.

Worst thing I find is the spray off the front wheels, as soon a you turn left or right the spray from the front wheels just covers you and your helmet with water.

You can see and hear it in those first couple a laps. He turns in, nothing happens, kart wants to understeer and go straight on. Give the kart some throttle and it will turn in/oversteer.

The amount of times I have advised people to give it a boot full of throttle in a wet corner and they look like I am mad. This is proof it works.

Mine has a design flaw in that it's either open 1/4 or it's shut. There is no ' open just a crack ' setting. Hence having to wedge it open a tiny bit smile when I used to race at buckmore I made a little widget at work and painted it up like my lid. Have since lost it and didn't think I'd need one last time as the weather hot/dry. At least this time I'm expecting it ! smile

So far rainx has been enough to keep me going. Can bring some from work if it'll be any use to anyone? (although it says not to use on plastic!) mines been fine for about 4 years

I have a devistating cold at the moment with a few vomitty side affects.

I'd suggest that this is probably going to cost me about 2 seconds a lap so, you know, feel free to minus that off when looking at my times

Mine is the same. Open a bit but as soon as you jump a kerb it slams shut.

It's the big 1st right hander i'd be worried about chap!
I got that wrong last time when laughing too hard at Rob crashing. I went off as i forgot to brake and flat out there, there isnt much run off!!! I did a bit of a jump, spun and then just carried out without anybody noticing.

So, people from London, are we sharing lifts or anything, or just meeting up there?

A couple of us are meeting at 10am at a local cafe which is just two minutes from the circuit smile

I was fairly slow I think through the first right hander while being flat through the final corner. My biggest moment came on the exit of the final corner where I needed to bail to avoid running into Olly's wife. I ended up sideways and caught it in a massively skilled fashion. Kinda like here, but better:

You brake for that corner?
The right hander in turn 1? The left is flat. Fairly sure the right isn't
