Is it still in aid of the Starz appeal at Salisbury Hospital? It was for the 1st 2 years!!
It was for the first 3 and although we've had to do some restructuring (it's now formally run by 'Pembroke Events Ltd' to work around various restrictions previously imposed on us by the Wilton House Trust) we are still using it to raise funds for the Stars Appeal and are looking forward to handing over our biggest checque yet See you there?

Hi Sir Bagalot, allow me to respond,
With respect Sir, we're keen to encourage advance ticket sales (£12) but even at £15 we still feel this represents great value for money, particularly when compared to other vaguely similar events. While we'll always strive to keep the event informal and accessible, the cost of running such a thing (which is growing every year) is quite considerable, and we hope we've been able to keep the ticket prices fair; it's still roughly what you'd spend on an hour and a half at the cinema.
Not that I would dream of comparing Goodwood FOS and Wilton as like-for-like (because they really aren't), at FOS you have no choice at all but to buy your tickets in advance, at £55 a head to boot, and your lunch and drink will probably cost £12 when you get there. If you want to go to Chris Evans' Car Fest, that'll be £65 - or at least it would have been if they hadn't sold all 20,000 tickets, at those prices, in one single day.
I'm reluctant to concede (if having a relaxed day out with extraordinary supercars and classics in beautiful surroundings with aerobatics displays, military choppers doing stunts and tricks, and another 500 or so 'cars of interest' to look around sounds like your kind of thing) that your £12 at Wilton wouldn't be well spent. Full ticketing details are here.
I may not have changed your opinion, but I hope you'll come along and report back on here afterwards as to whether you think £12 was reasonable or not.
Best regards,
JKB
Well said young man and thanks again for organising. This year should be fantastic and I hear you are guaranteeing sunshine saved up from June!!

Fantastic event. Attended for the first time last year and by far the best 'supercar' day we've been to (doing FOS for first time this year though). We were regulars at the Gaydon supercar Sunday but that's not on this year and thankfully Wilton is. Great to see the cars arrive and then get up close to them. My little boy was scared by the rev off so we've invested in some ear defenders for him. He's looking forward to seeing the Lambabinis. My partner's looking forward to the Veyrons and I'm a fan of everything!
Even the queue to get in was good, being sandwiched by two Ferraris.....

£15 is pretty much the price of a round of drinks, and you would have to be very thirsty indeed to think that was better use of the funds! I really doubt anyone there last year regretted paying the money; it was very well organised and most of the heavy duty cars you could wish for were in attendance. Very much looking forward to this year. With respect Sir, we're keen to encourage advance ticket sales (£12) but even at £15 we still feel this represents great value for money, particularly when compared to other vaguely similar events. Planning on going to this for the first time this year. Done my research, looks pretty awesome.
Now for the nooby question, what do you gain for parking in the PH car park?
Thanks
The group hug effect of being with your PH brethren, as well as being closest to the entrance. Now for the nooby question, what do you gain for parking in the PH car park?
