£5 for visitors and £20 for exhibitors? Isn't that half the reason why AutoLegends isn't happening this year?
If you read the thing I linked you'd have seen that Autolegends was £12 for visitors in 2010 and £25 for visitors in 2012. I think it was £35 for exhibitors last year (for car + driver). So a £5 donation for visitors and £20 for cars for the Grand Chelsea Rendezvous is a fair bit less by my calculations
Just to clarify:
As you all know, Chelsea AutoLegends is no more.
However, I manage PR for the 96 Club, a well established organisation whose founder, Michael Scott - affectionately known as 'Scottie' - created AutoLegends (and was responsible for its success of the first two years).
This year, the 96 Club is hosting a Grand Chelsea Rendezvous on Sunday September 8 on the Royal Hospital Chelsea grounds - the same venue as AutoLegends. It is an informal event, and everybody with a love for classic or modern cars is invited to visit. We are expecting some 160 cars, from all walks of life, from an Austin Metro to a Bugatti Veyron, with the occasional Mangusta and one-off Alfa Romeo Spider Superflow in between.
There are no exhibitors at all. It is not a commercial venture. Indeed, it is a charity-led event where the £5 per head (or £20 per car, if you come with a cherished classic or modern) is a compulsory donation: we are supporting the Chelsea Pensioner's Appeal. In fact, the 96 Club hosts a monthly gathering there, and has done so for a long time.
Do come if you are in the area. I am happy to give more information and instructions as to how to join, if you email me: angie@angievoluti.com.

Really looking forward to this now. Car being prepped and collected on Friday ready for some fun on Sunday.
See you all there.
What car are you bringing? Would you like me to register it so that we are expecting you at the gates? You may wish to participate in the Grand Cavalcade too… let me know and I shall send you relevant info. Thank you. Angie See you all there.

Chelsea Rendezvous won't have any exhibitors this year. Just enthusiasts wishing to drive their classic, modern or supercar to Chelsea. We have everything from little Austin Metros to F12s and Bugatti Veyron. And - just to confirm - it is a charity event to support the Chelsea Pensioner's Appeal. So a £5 donation for visitors and £20 for cars for the Grand Chelsea Rendezvous is a fair bit less by my calculations
