Hi Bob

Yes I am still waiting, at the moment I am treating no news as good news. ( blissfull optimism )What is the definition of excess anyway? With luck the fact they have not given a speed may mean they dont have one.( more blissfull optimism )
Hopefully I may pass some of you leaving as I return in the evening, have a good day and lets hope the weather holds out.
I'll keep an eye out for those Zafiras - not quite so Daddy Cool.

Cheers

The date draws near. Is anybody else still going from Bristol? If so, which route are you taking to Sparkford?

Yertis,

I'll be coming down from Bristol, I think you might be on my way. I haven't worked out an exact route but may well be going via the Chedder area to pick up Nacnud if he's still going. So for me that will be Keynsham, then A39 south.

Are you bringing the Quattro?

I'll see if I can get in touch with a few more people, and try to be a bit more definite.

Cheers Dan

I shall be bringing the 100//S4, which is a sort of bigger, faster, stealth quattro.

I was planning to blast down the M5 to J25 Taunton then along that short bit (don't know the road name or number) then onto the A303, but I'm up for suggestions of a route. P.S I must appologise to anyone who may have had an infected Email from my machine, I THINK its sorted now, the emails were not coming from my machine but the virus was mimicing my address.

The AA recommend (on their website) going down the A37, A371, then the A359. I hate the A37 - it has about 1,000,000 speed cameras on it. OTOH, we could all meet up in that lay-by just before Pensford.

I've just traveled up the A303 tonight ..... I don't know if it would effect anyone planning on making the trip this Sunday, but, a large part of the A35 is closed of at the moment. Not sure about weekends though.

Simon,

Thanks for organising the day. Sorry to hear of your problems on the way to the meet, another PHer I haven't yet put a face to. My neibour John & myself had a good time viewing the museam.

Hope to see you at a future west country meet.

Bob

Hi Bob,
Sorry that I didn't get to meet you, I had a great time at, although not on the way to, the museum. The Lotus's engine was pretty dodgy before starting the trip, but I was hoping that it would hold out! No such luck! The new mill is sheduled to be fitted next saturday so all will be well for future meets. My biggest problem now is that I have fallen deeply in love! With the Lambo Countach in the "Red Room"! How to find £38000,00? Hmmm! Glad you had a good day, Cheers, Simon.

Simon,
Thanks for arranging this meeting - sorry we didn't meet up.
The museum was better than I remember from my last visit - the weather was worse!
