Great going and sounding Triumph Spitfire and a gorgeous burbling, shaking and quick MGB V8.

The Spit blocked the view on the V8. Alexander always hid his B from my lens.

It is a small car. This one is mint.

Next: Last shots on the Italians.

IMO Alfa Romeo got it spot on with the 1750 GTV. I prefer the later models with the modern pedals. Amazing AR kept a 50s design four into production for almost 40 years. The car was a classic in the 70s when I was a teenager. Along with the Jag XJ6 it showed a remarkable resemblance with, the tough looking and superb sounding Triumph TR6, the bold Marcos and TVR cars and the usual Volvos. The roar of a Nord was an important part of my youths soundtrack. And still: how good do they sound!

Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600, 105 Bertone 1750 GTV and Alfasud 1500 Ti: supertrio!

All three are completely different beasts: the Giulia - according to David - is the best driver (I did not drive it yet), the GTV is the beauty (and my favorite AR of the pack) and the Ti is a nut and bolt blue printed gem of a rare Sud. Most are eaten by the tin worms.

As time past the sun lowered to slowly cover the Flemish flatlands into darkness but not before I shot some more of the 1750 GTV. In the meantime our pack ate the most wonderful chocolate mousse and drank coffee. Life is very well in Flanders.

Never underestimate a Sud Ti.

Alfa Romeo 105s rule!

Bertone love.

GTV drama.

There will be a next Alfa outing I'm sure. Maybe in the UK?
