Got there early as I now live 20 minutes away, definitely needs more adequate marshalling and lane control for prepaid tickets. Certainly busier than previous years, but I'm going to put a positive spin on it and say once the building work is done and some proper lane control exercised it should continue to be good. Great to meet some of the fellow 164 owners from the forums and suchlike - no PHers this time though.

Yellow lights just look perfect some times:

A familiar immaculate 3ltr 164:

A brace of Montreals in wonderfully complimentary colours:

A... Guilietta Sprint? To be honest I don't know:

A duo of Miuras - I politely waited for a few moments for a clean shot but it only got worse:

Correct Maserati lights and incorrect lights:

Possibly my favourite Ferrari, definitely the only one I want to own at the moment, the almost understated 456. No sign of the wonderful fitted luggage:

Another 164 3ltr:

...and finally, as a bonus, not from Auto Italia but from an event in Newport Pagnell in the afternoon, the only 8C in this colour:

Agreed on the slack marshalling, we were not allowed to turn right into the entrance so we crawled down to the roundabout then sat another 25 mins queuing up the hill to see that the marshalls had decided to let the cars turn right after all. The three lanes heading in were also muddled up at the gates, there must be a few entrances into this place? Not a deal breaker but I always fear arriving at this show.

Brooklands is one them places I keep meaning to go to but never get around to it so yesterday was my first time I have but the whole family had a good day.

For me seeing a lot of classics that you do not see very often made them seem more special against the newer super cars 458 etc which you can see fairly regularly. My top 3 cars from the show:

1 - Lamborghini Silhouette almost like a burnt orange color with gold wheels which looks like a perfect color combination.
2 - Detomaso Pantera gt5 in bright red. I loved how the bumper did not cover hardly any of the rear wheels so you could see how wide the chunky tires are. It made a great noise going up the hill.
3 - Lancia Beta 1600 - I have not seen one of these in flesh before and it took me straight back to the videos of rallying I have watched. Made some great noise going up the hill too.

There are some great photos already in this thread. I can upload the pictures and videos I managed to catch yesterday but they are only with my phone so nothing special.

What was everyone else's top 3 cars from yesterday?

To pick a top 3 ?

This looks like fun.

Slightly jacked up,chunky tyres, bet it goes anywhere.

Love a Barchetta in orange.

And a big old Fiat

Can't comment on the entry situation for Italian cars,as I went in a non Italian car,and parked in "The Heights" car park,no problems as got there about 10.00.

Once out on the surrounding roads however, traffic was horrendous.

Miura engine.

The steep banking isn't kind to low spoilers.
