Cracking turn out and a real delight to see such a broad range of cars. Very exciting to see the GT40 replica, Ultimas, Noble, Porkers, Ferraris, Marcos, Lotus, Caterham, Cupra R, bikes etc. Also great to meet everyone.

As someone said before, it's nice to find out that everyone attending were genuine enthusiasts without any of the inter-marque snobbery sometimes encountered elsewhere.

That's why I came, as I knew I would be welcomed (as before) with my SEAT Leon Cupra R, albeit with a lesser marque on the prestige scale but I'm a car enthusiast all the same.

Cheers!

Thats because we're car enthusiasts rather than badge snobs. And it's why my fantasy garage includes (in no particular order) Griffith 500, Integrale, F355, Stratos, TVR S3, TVR 450 SEAC, Ultima, Caterham R500 and the latest addition to the list (thanks Joust ) a Noble M12.

And after chatting to CupraBri yesterday and having a look round his Leon, I'll be needing one of those too, for the occasions when I require a little more practicality.

So many cars, so little money........ :sigh:

Brilliant turnout and a wonderful day. It was amazing to see how many people turned up, the display of cars was magnificient. Diverse range too. Got to briefly meet some phers and spent a good deal of time talking to others.

Hi JonRB, Carzee and Mrs Carzee, Scruff, Lee and a couple of others that I can't remember, shame we didn't to speak much, but see you at the BTaP in November!!

Daz, thank you very, very, very much! You are an absolute lifesaver. Thank you! I owe you BIGTIME! Also thanks for the drive in your car, I now fully understand why you and Lee rave on about these cars. Amazing performance. Guys Ultima is one scary machine, and obviously faster, but it also helped to add to the respect given to the 996TT for its closeness in performance yet being so civilised when needed (something the Ultima can NEVER be).

Alex(Iguana) seems you should get an office next to Manu! You guys could do absolutely no work together, and check out all the local talent!

Frostie your 355 is as pretty as a very pretty 355! Great bit was blasting after the 456 with the VERY LOUD exhaust. Sounded wonderful (Kevin, hasn't your Keonig mysteriously got holes in it yet?)

Chris glad you could make it, and you are a bloody good cameraman too! choas your tuscan was very well received by Manu's neighbours, they probably thought it came off a spaceship.

To the next one.

Regards

You're welcome

I absolutly loved the crazy curves on your Marcos - I've never seen one up close and it's just such a crazzzeeeeyyyy car.

I agree about just liking cars - I really don't mind, and can't stand the "mine is better than yours" - they are all fantastic cars.

My wish list is now...

360 - mmmmm - having seen and heard Kevins - I'm in total love
355 spider - to replace the Elise for those sunny days
Integrale Monte Carlo - Brother had one - total hoot
Audi Quattro Sport - to replace my "normal one"
Lambo - you just got to have one
Tuscan S

Still - I think my (better) half has come around to the idea of keeping the Elise, so I'm happy for the time being

That's what I got the X5 for - goes quite well and enabled me to carry the 3mx1m plywood that I needed to put on the drive to get the Noble in (the angle was too great without them)

Ah - if only I won the lottery - what fun I would have ('spose I'd better start buying tickets!)

I think so, if I can get cover for work and the weather holds up. I like Iguana and Daz's idea. Smaller convoy of cars ready for some serious battle on some serious (uncongested) roads!!

JonRB, luckily it was the battery. I cursed that poor little car so much it probably shit itself and made sure it only had a problem with the battery!! Can't really blame the car for the keyfob I guess

Me too! When I heard a Marcos was coming I got very excited indeed . I saw the picture on Imelda's profile and couldn't wait to see what it looked like in the flesh.

Ninja

I thought the only thing that got you excited was the view from Manu’s office with the passing girls from Holloway College!!

guy, if you recall correctly that was Manu and Alex. Hence why I suggested Alex get hold of one of the offices next door to Manu and Ajay.

And your neck strain was showing itself by the time you were leaving to go home

I know which curves caught my attention!. A certain 360 with a Tubi did mention that Alex was exited with the sound and the view!! Now I know why Manu has such a heavy desk!!!

Next time we need some decent roads for a run with bends to show the cars full potential.

good meet - what a great selection of cars. Loved the 355 Ninja. Other favourites have got to be the purple cerb and yet again the red Ultima.

Must say a big thank you to HarryW for helping fix my broken throttle cable on the way up to VW and not worrying about arriving late himself. Cheers mate - much appreciated.

Also an apology to the driver of the eurobox that I was overtaking on a B road when the cable let go Motorbike heading towards me and despite me overtaking on a country lane, he did the sensible thing and braked to allow me to coast in front of him. Its nice to see some sensible drivers still on the road. He must have wondered what was going on when I let rip to overtake him and then coasted down the road with my hazards on looking for a layby!
