July 1st & 2nd

Over the past few years some friends and I have organised regular outings where we meet up and take our cars on some of the UK's best roads. Most of us drive 70's & 80's cars, so we prefer twists and turns to dual carriageway!

This year we are starting with a Saturday rendezvous at Llandau Circuit, where many of us will be taking part in the track day. There will also be people there to spectate so there's no pressure to take part in the track day.

After that we will most likely head off for a bite to eat and a beer before heading to B&B or hotel. On the Sunday we will meet around 9 - 9.30am and spend the day enjoying the roads in Wales. Obviously there will be fuel and refreshment breaks along the way.

This is all pretty informal but past years have been great fun with some wonderful cars in attendance. So, if you're free on one or both days, it would be good to see some more of you come along. Cars of all types are welcome, although we do prefer the older stuff.

Once home I will post a few photos from previous years. It's mainly a mix of various modified BMW 2002's, E30 M3's, E21 etc but this year there are some Alfas joining us. It would be great to see a few icons, like the Intergrale or an Audi Quattro maybe? Or maybe some Escorts or 131 Mirafiori?

So if you're interested maybe you could post here and show us what you'll be driving?

A few pics of BMW fanboys on route a couple of years back.

Headlight bulbs blew which meant the blast across the mountain to the BnB was a bit hairy in places.

As this is just a couple of weeks away now, I figured a quick ''bump'' might be in order?

I like both of those. It's the noise of the TVR which takes it for me though. wink

Busted!

The ratty looking 1600 in front is deceptively quick, with an 1800 16v, 5 speed and LSD. In fact, it may even be supercharged by now.
